Holstein has emerged as a true perimeter threat this summer, developing into a high level sniper from beyond the arc. He’s doing an excellent job moving without the ball, navigating off screens, and finding open looks. Once he catches in rhythm his release is quick and confident, and he’s been knocking down threes at an impressive clip. Holstein was shot ready from the perimeter, drawing immediate closeouts from opposing defenses. Adept at leveraging pump fakes to lure out overaggressive defenders, he found success through his methodical pace of play. The guard was at his best while attacking a closeout, quick to rise up for mid-range jumpers when given the opening. Given his success playing off the ball, there should be an opportunity ready for Holstein at Palmer Ridge this coming season.

Holstein knocked down plenty of threes and quick jumpers inside the arc, one of those pure shooters any team benefits from. Far from just a spot-up shooter, Holstein repeatedly displayed smooth footwork rising up into pull-up attempts within the mid-range. Regardless of the contest, the guard seemed to be just about as effective scoring through pressure.
