Mile High Madness closed the summer circuit exactly the way everyone hoped with high level competition, breakout performances and plenty of statement moments. For many players it was the final opportunity to prove themselves before attention turns to fall ball and the highly anticipated high school season. He was a pest for opposing ball handlers, forcing mistakes, jumping passing lanes and turning defense into offense with multiple steals. Once he created a turnover, Fletcher wasted no time pushing the pace in transition, where his speed and decision making led to easy baskets. He also ran the floor extremely well, consistently beating defenders down the court and creating scoring opportunities before the defense could get set. His high motor, disruptive defense and ability to spark fast breaks made him one of [program_tooltip program_id='2075800' first='PSB' last='']'s biggest difference makers throughout the weekend     Hall looked every bit the true point guard for Next Level throughout the weekend, controlling the tempo and keeping his team organized on both ends. He played with poise, made smart decisions and consistently put teammates in great positions to succeed. When he saw an opening, Hall attacked the lane with confidence, getting downhill to finish through traffic at the rim. He also flashed a smooth step back jumper that created separation and kept defenders guessing. His balance of playmaking and scoring made him a constant threat, and his leadership with the ball in his hands was a major reason Next Level played so well     Layman was a joy to watch for 7070 this weekend because he simply knows how to play the game the right way. A true team first player, he made smart decisions, kept the ball moving and always seemed to make the right read. When it was time to score, he attacked with confidence, using his quickness to get past defenders and finish at the rim. He also showed the ability to score from all three levels, knocking down outside shots, pulling up in the mid range and finishing inside. His unselfish approach, pace and versatility made him a key piece in 7070's success all weekend     Schmidt was everywhere for 7070 this weekend and made his presence felt from the opening tip. He crashed the boards with relentless energy, giving his team extra possessions by cleaning up misses and outworking opponents on the glass. Around the rim he was tough to stop, finishing through contact and making defenders pay whenever they lost track of him. Just when defenses started to figure it out and pack the paint, Schmidt stepped out and buried shots from beyond the arc to keep them honest. His nonstop motor, physical style of play and ability to impact the game in multiple ways made him one of the most entertaining and effective players to watch all weekend     Bain made a strong impact for PLUTO with his nonstop effort and high basketball IQ. He never stood still offensively, constantly working to get open with smart cuts and great timing. Every time a teammate drove the lane, Bain had his hands up and was ready for the pass, making himself an easy target around the basket. When the ball found him, he finished with confidence and efficiency, converting tough opportunities in traffic. His activity without the ball, reliable hands and ability to capitalize on scoring chances made him a valuable piece and one of PLUTO's most consistent contributors throughout the weekend
