Grodin is a pleasure to watch play the game of basketball. He would never dare take an unwarranted shot, and he’s always looking to make the right play for himself or his teammates – it’s abundantly clear he doesn’t care about stats. As a second side creator, Grodin does an amazing job attacking closeouts and making extra passes, which are two more reasons his teammates likely love playing with him. He’ll step into college hoops at Fordham next year with a high-level understanding of how to play the game; he knows how to move without the ball, and he can space and run the floor well, which I would guess earns him some minutes early on.

Grodin has taken a significant leap forward in his development this season, showing improved all-around skills. As a slasher, he excels at driving to the rim and finishing through contact with impressive efficiency. In addition to his strong inside game, Grodin has also expanded his range, becoming a reliable shooter from beyond the arc. His combination of finishing ability and outside shooting makes him a well-rounded offensive threat.

Grodin ended his recruitment with a pledge to Fordham University. A big wing that can impact a game without scoring, Grodin is the ultimate team first guy who does whatever is needed to win basketball games. He’s a willing ball mover, good offensive rebounder, and is comfortable making plays off the bounce. He has a good basketball IQ, makes good reads out of ball screens, and does a good job of moving without the ball. He’s a capable scorer that can consistently knock down perimeter jumpers, but has also showed an ability to score over size in the paint. Defensively, he has a lot of versatility and is capable of guarding up or down a position. He has good length, isn’t afraid to step in and take a charge, and does a great job in rotation. Fordham did a gets a recruiting win by bringing Grodin back to New York, as the big guard profiles as a future all-league type performer in the Atlantic 10.

is a floor-spacing forward who knows how to put the ball in the basket. He has terrific shooting skills and great-looking form mechanics. Grodin is excellent from the all-around the three-point line and isn’t afraid to shoot from way beyond the arch with a confident demeanor. He is also a very adept ball handler in transition and has counters such as Eurosteps to get through traffic. Grodin’s smarts also stand out in multiple ways, being a cutter to the basket off the ball, making smart and quick decisions in the half-court with the ball, or making shrewd steals on the defensive end. His overall versatility in many areas leads to winning basketball and is a prospect that coaches would be interested in acquiring.

The rising Junior for Greenwich Country day brings a lot of intrigue on of the offensive end. A seemingly tactical offensive mind, Grodin allows the offense to flow and for sets to be properly executed and waiting for his moment to impact a play. By doing so, his smooth in-rhythm jumpshot should be a strong point for his game this upcoming season. Recently at the Team Jones Elite camp Grodin showed the ability to leak out into transition and attack multiple defenders when going downhill with a strong knack of drawing and absorbing contact.
