Expert Analysis
Robbie Hodin | Prep Hoops Scout
Narasimhan’s superpower is his shooting ability, and it makes him a really effective and unique player. The 6-foot-5 wing is a phenomenal off ball mover — he understands when to back cut and slip versus when to curl and flare — and he does a great job getting his shot off quickly once the ball comes to him. With his combination of size and a quick release, he brings a lot as a movement shooter. He needs to improve his ball handling and athleticism if he wants to play scholarship hoops, but he should be a relatively high level D3 player after a good season at Newman this year.

Narasimhan, #218 overall and #49 among the small forwards, is a versatile wing that can really shoot the basketball. At 6’5″, he has good size for the position and does a nice job of operating as a screener in ball screens or a movement guy in DHO actions. His ability to space the floor stands out, but he’s also capable of making good decisions with the ball in his hands. Defensively, he’s good in team concepts, knows where to be in rotations, and has the ability to rebound the ball in space and in traffic. He’s a high academic prospect that should be a priority recruit for schools in the NEPSAC and NEWMAC this fall.

Kabir is a dead-eye from deep converting from deep on more then several chances from three. If his feet are set there is a high chance he is converting from behind the arc. He does a nice job hunting for his shot. He stays on the move defensively. He tracks as a scholarship player with his ability to put the ball in the hoop.
