USE CODE “baxley30” FOR 30% OFF THE FIRST PURCHASE OF ANY SUBSCRIPTION

The 864 area code has long been one of the most talent-rich pockets of South Carolina basketball, and this year's SCBCA All-State teams once again reflect that depth. From the Upstate's powerhouse programs to rising stars making their mark, several of the state's top performers call the 864 home. Here's a closer look at the All-State selections representing one of South Carolina's premier hoops regions.

First up in the 864 is Abbeville's [player_tooltip player_id='1848143' first='Jaden' last='Baylor']. Jaden is now a two-time All-State player, also having received this honor in his junior season. Baylor's scoring numbers were up to over 18.5 points per game this year, again leading the Panthers to a perfect 16-0 Region Championship and multiple playoff wins. They ran into a buzz-saw C.A. Johnson team, but Jaden should leave with his head high after another special season.

Marshall is a huge reason why Belton-Honea Path turned into a surefire contender the past two seasons. After finishing below .500 in his freshman and sophomore years, Bolden Jr. helped lead the Bears to back-to-back 15+ win seasons and two Region Championships. Marshall was the Region 1-3A Player of the Year this year, thanks to putting up 16 points per game, 3 assists per game, and 2 steals per game, no doubt earning him a look for the Class All-State Team.

If you didn't get to see Riverside and [player_tooltip player_id='2367673' first='Sebi' last='Boyogueno'] in person this season, you really missed out. He had one of the most dominant scoring seasons in the state, putting up over 25 points per game with eight games of 30 or more points. There simply weren't many, if any, players who could match up with his scoring package at 6'4". Boyogueno was an easy pick for the 5A All-State team and should get a chance to play at the highest level in the near future.

For the second year in a row, Brown led Class AA in scoring, earning him another award to add to the collection. It was no surprise to see him make the All-State Team, as he tallied over 22 points per game, 4.8 rebounds per game, and 2.6 assists per game. His assists and rebounds dipped slightly this year, but that is more a product of a better team around him on paper. Eli will continue his basketball career at Converse University.

Despite the monster year, I would still consider Campbell one of the most underrated players in the state. There aren't many outside of the upstate who know what he is capable of. The All-State honor helps, but Campbell had several monster games this season, including back-to-back 25-plus point, 10-plus rebound nights in the playoffs. He might not put up those numbers at the next level, but he is still far from the finished product.

Another under-the-radar member of this All-State group is Terrance. He dominated 1A competition, as a player of his frame should, racking up 17.2 points per game, 11.8 rebounds per game, and 1.6 blocks per game. Cartledge was certainly one of the best bigs in the class this year, even if the eye-test doesn't always line up with the numbers.

Caden had another excellent season in a Red Raider jersey despite falling short of the ultimate goal this time around. He was one of the best players in the state a season ago and was right back at that level in his senior season. The thing that makes Coleman stand out is his athleticism, which makes a clear impact on his team's success on both ends of the floor.

One of the best bigs in the state this season was Conley. He really took major strides with his game this season, showing a glimpse of why the staff at Morehead State was eager for his commitment. Jackson had multiple games where he dominated smaller matchups, with some impressive per-game numbers: 15.1 points per game, 9.1 rebounds per game, and 2.1 blocks per game.

The 2025-26 Class AAAAA State Player of the Year is [player_tooltip player_id='1982890' first='Colt' last='Fowler']. Colt had a special season for the Runnin' Rebels, putting up insane night after insane night. His averages were as good as anyone in the state, even challenging some of the best in the nation as he went for 24.3 points and 10.8 assists a night. He will no doubt push for some remarkable records and have Byrnes right back in title contention in his senior season.

It was really impressive to watch the growth of Eric from a bright, young player to a smart, experienced leader. Gray was named Region 3-3A Player of the Year and became only the second player in Union County High School history to be named 2x All-State. When he's on his game, he is one of the best Point Guards in the state and would be a steal for a D3 or NAIA program.

Grayden is as due for a big jump in the rankings as one in this list. He helped lead the Chapman Panthers to another very good season, averaging 17.1 points per game, 3.3 assists per game, and 2.1 steals per game along the way. Those were some of the best averages in the class, but if he can average another 4 points a night next year, he will push for even more state-wide recognition.

It wasn't the finish Jackson and his squad would have imagined after a dominant start to the season, but he should have plenty to be proud of when looking back on his time as a Red Devil. Kendrick helped lead this group to several impressive feats, including a 20-win season for the first time since 2004. Team success is a factor in his All-State selection, but when you mix in his 19.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.0 assists a night, he was an easy choice for the team.

This Dorman Guard has been one of the best scorers in the state since he made the move to Roebuck before the start of his sophomore season. He already has 1,000 points as a Cavalier, being one of the fastest in program history to do so. When someone, particularly a guard, breaks a Dorman record, you take notice. They have a long history of producing next-level stars, and Johnson looks like he could be next in line to be one of those.

Patterson is one of the few All-State players whom I don't know much about. From a box score perspective, however, he looks to be one of the best Sophomores in the state. In 2025-26, he put 25.7 points per game for 1A Calhoun Falls, leading them to a solid season and a well-earned playoff birth. I am interested to see where Patterson plays AAU this summer and hope to get eyes on him in the near future.

The lone representative from the Class AAA State Champions on the SCBCA All-State team is [player_tooltip player_id='2361714' first='Jonathan' last='Perry']. Perry and the Cavaliers were excellent all season long, as he led them to a remarkable 26-1 record by putting up 13.9 points per game and 3.3 assists per game.
