Grayden didn’t have the fast start like Samuel, but he came alive in the second half to help carry Chapman to an impressive win over River Bluff. All 6 of his made threes came over the last 16 minutes, and he had a variety of looks between designed actions, in transition, off the catch, and off the dribble. Despite being under 6’0″, Humphries has been one of the best shooters in the state over the last few seasons and has no trouble facing bigger defenders.

Rounding out the stock risers in this update of the Prep Hoops SC Class of 2027 Rankings is Grayden Humphries Grayden Humphries 5'11" | SG Chapman | 2027 State SC . Humphries is probably still a little under-ranked when you look at his individual and team success, so he’s a priority for me to see in person this summer. Grayden was one of the top shooters in Class AAA this season, going for over 17 points a night while hitting 70 threes on the season to help lead Chapman to a 22-win season.

Grayden is as due for a big jump in the rankings as one in this list. He helped lead the Chapman Panthers to another very good season, averaging 17.1 points per game, 3.3 assists per game, and 2.1 steals per game along the way. Those were some of the best averages in the class, but if he can average another 4 points a night next year, he will push for even more state-wide recognition.
