One of the most impactful sub-6’0″ guards in 2025-26 was Webb. He was named Region Player of the Year after scoring 18 points per game, to go with 4 assists per game and 3 steals per game. Jonovan is not going to change the game physically at the next level, but he is as skilled and smart as they come and is certainly deserving of at least a chance to prove himself on a JV or developmental team.

He came out aggressive, attacking the rim and getting to his spots from the start. Serving as the engine for the team, he looks to create for others while also finding his own shot. His three-point shooting adds another dimension to his game, making him a versatile offensive threat.

Jonovan left Westside’s win over Powdersville looking like he just got out of a street fight. Webb fought cramps all game long and had his game end early after hitting his chin on a hard fall to the floor, but he still posted an impressive 18 points with 4 3PM. I’ve known how good Jonovan is at finishing or facilitating on drives, but this shooting ability, particularly with range, could be a game-changer not only for this Ram offense, but for his college recruitment. Also, Webb proved himself more than a scorer by adding 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals in the win.

Webb and Shaw remain back-to-back in this update of the Prep Hoops SC 2026 Rankings. He is one of the lone returners to the Rams this year, but Jonovan will be able to make those new faces better and more comfortable. This starts with his work on the defensive end of the floor, but he provides some excellent passing, too.

. He helps make up part of NLE 2026’s stellar backcourt of sub-6’0″ guards who play hard every game and balance passing and scoring very well. In Friday’s second game, Jon excelled at penetrating the defense, using his handle to finish at the rim or find open teammates as opponents collapsed around him. As a scorer, Webb flashed with a left-handed and-1 and a spot-up left-corner three. He tallied 6 points and 4 assists in the loss.

rounds out my list of Active Defenders from Monday in Boiling Springs. The Rams through a variety of looks at their opponents in Game One working on their base man-to-man, 2-3 zone, and full-court presses. Jonovan is a key part of this because of his experience in the system and his knowledge of the game. Webb will often take away an opponent’s first move with his IQ, forcing them into a less comfortable look. He is also active in denial and has quick hands to strip the ball. Jonovan’s offensive game is built around his ability to pull up off the dribble and change pace in penetration.

Webb was a bright spot for the Rams in their first loss of the season on Saturday. He had 11 Points in the game with 3 3PM, 2 of them coming in the third quarter to help keep Westside in range. Jonovan’s other bucket was an impressive finisher with his off hand over a shot blocker in the paint. He is capable of making plays for himself and his teammates off the dribble and is a good shooter when spotting up. Although undersized, Webb stays engaged defensively and will put his body on the line to draw charges and collect rebounds.
