. Jaden is now a two-time All-State player, also having received this honor in his junior season. Baylor’s scoring numbers were up to over 18.5 points per game this year, again leading the Panthers to a perfect 16-0 Region Championship and multiple playoff wins. They ran into a buzz-saw C.A. Johnson team, but Jaden should leave with his head high after another special season.

of Abbeville High School in 1A Region 1. Baylor averaged 12. 2 Points Per Game, 6.4 Rebounds Per Game, and 3.3 Assists Per Game in his Sophomore Season. He has good positional size and a very balanced skill set. Jaden can do everything needed from a 1 or a 2 including making plays off the dribble, keeping teammates involved, knocking down open shots, finishing around bodies at the rim, and defending his area. The Panthers are one of my favorites in Class 1A this season and when Baylor is on his game they are going to be hard to beat.

Jaden really excels in scoring the ball from all 3 levels on the floor. Baylor showcases a nice mid-range game when he pulls it out of his arsenal at times. Jaden will get the ball to the rack quite easily at times.
Baylor is back to lead a talented Panthers squad in the Upstate this season. Jaden averaged 12.3 ppg and 6.4 rebounds last season. Abbeville HS made the drop down in classification this season to Class 1A. The Panthers generally get a late start on the hoops season with football always looking to make a deep run into the playoffs.

It is fully a coincidence that all of the players I have in this Upper State 2026 list so far were terrific in the second half of the game I watched, but Baylor continues this trend. I watched Abbeville take on North at North Augusta High School on Saturday Morning and Jayden’s performance was one of my favorites of the weekend. He is a real talent who has a polished all-around game and impacts winning in many ways. Baylor has a big frame, can handle the rock, finishes through contact, can create for himself, and stays engaged on the defensive end. He went for 18 Points, 10 Rebounds, 7 Assists, and 4 Steals flirting with a triple-double in an extremely impressive performance.

Baylor plays the game at a traditional football program in the Upstate for the Panthers. JD can score the ball from 3 levels on the floor for the Panthers. He averaged 12.3 ppg and 5.7 rebounds this past season as a freshman.
He always seems to be in the right place on the floor to make a play for his squad. JD excels in getting to the cup and making mid-range jumpers along the way. Baylor will be a need to hear in the years to come from the Upstate over near the Georgia border.
