10. US Grant 11-3

The Generals are the surprise package in Class 6A. They've rode the high of an early season upset over Southmoore, but have dropped two to Norman and Piedmont. The game at Piedmont was promising as they only lost by 3. They still control their own destiny when it comes to a Regional hosting spot, and will have the chance to do the double over Southmoore with a visit there on Friday. Junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2400905' first='Marcus' last='Lee'] is starting to establish himself as one of the best guards in the OKC Metro.

9. Piedmont 14-3

After a 7-0 start, the Wildcats have hit a few bumps. Including a tough back to back stretch of losses to Norman and Crossings Christian. February games at Southmoore and US Grant, will dictate if Piedmont will be hosting a Regional. Which be an important first step as Piedmont looks to make the State Tournament for the first time since 2014, when they were Class 5A. Junior's [player_tooltip player_id='2400923' first='Jacob' last='Campbell'] development gives them a strong trio with seniors [player_tooltip player_id='1552326' first='Hudson' last='Hite'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1552325' first='Carter' last='Hainrihar'].

8. Choctaw 12-4

An 8-0 mark in district play has the Yellowjackets controlling their own destiny to win Class 6A District 1. They're led by a top tier one-two punch of seniors [player_tooltip player_id='2218106' first='Steven' last='Anderson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2283661' first='Jordan' last='Valentine']. Anderson has been scoring the ball like one of the best guards in Oklahoma. While Valentine is a dynamic two-way threat as a taller guard. Choctaw has been prone to lulls in some of the games watched this year, leading to some games being closer than they should. But the win over Mustang proves they have a State Tournament ceiling.

7. Union 12-4

With big man [player_tooltip player_id='1655627' first='Miles' last='Flemons'] in the middle, the Redhawks are one of the toughest match ups in the state. There are very few players in 6A who can cover him straight up. He requires zone defense or double teams to stop him at the rim. Around him, Union has quality shooters with guards [player_tooltip player_id='1552320' first='Jackson' last='Mcintyre'], [player_tooltip player_id='1988802' first='Nicholas' last='Ngouan'] and Tre Smith. Three seniors who can make the defense pay when they collapse on their teammate. They'll be one of the tougher outs come playoff time.

6. Edmond Santa Fe 13-3

The Wolves have been on the wrong end of three close district battles against PCN and BA. It's a fine margin of error, as with a couple different bounces in the PCN games, they could be considered the top team in the state. Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2381835' first='TJ' last='Newton']'s breakout season includes a 19 point performance in the title game victory at the McGuinness Classic against 4A contenders Crossings Christian. His emergence has been crucial to give senior Money Robinson a backcourt running mate capable of scoring the tough buckets. Mix in the athletic Baba Brothers (Jojo and Joshua) along with their outstanding depth of athletes and size, and the Wolves are still only scratching the surface of their potential.

5. Norman - 13-2

After a couple early December set backs, Norman has been quietly stacking wins. This month they have recorded double digit wins over two of their top 6A-2 District foes (Piedmont and US Grant) and are in pole position to claim the title. Guard play often wins come playoff time. The senior trio of [player_tooltip player_id='1552322' first='Beau' last='Billingsley'], [player_tooltip player_id='2394516' first='Gideon' last='Holt'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2292195' first='Montrel' last='Combs-Pierce'], plus Aiden Cooper-Kelley gives the Tigers one of the deepest backcourts in the state. Keep an eye on freshman guard [player_tooltip player_id='2421976' first='Luke' last='Noles'].

4. Owasso - 14-5

It's been an eventful season for the Rams. A freak occurrence in practice in late December led to a left hand injury for [player_tooltip player_id='1552319' first='Jalen' last='Montonati']. Which led to him missing nearly a month of action. He made his return last night, scoring 30 points and reaching 2,000 points for his career. The Rams have also lost one of their top players, as [player_tooltip player_id='1552349' first='Julius' last='Wilson'] graduated early to enroll at Kansas State for football. It's a blow to their depth. But as they proved during Montonati's absence, they're a tough team that will still challenge for a 6A title come March.

3. Mustang - 14-3

The Broncos are a fascinating team, with one of the more complete rosters in the state. There have been highs this year, with blowouts and victories over Owasso and Broken Arrow at the Bartlesville tournament. But also head scratching moments with a blowout defeat to 4A Crossings and being tripped up by Choctaw. Which makes the February 10th match up with Choctaw a circle the calendar game as it very well could decide the Class 6A-1 District crown. The ceiling is there for the Broncos to claim the Gold Ball in March.

2. Broken Arrow - 14-2

The Tigers have split with Mustang in tournament action, beat Union twice and took down Edmond Santa at home in December. They even had Putnam City North on the ropes in the first half before eventually losing by 7. Senior wing [player_tooltip player_id='2224276' first='Corban' last='Dow'] leads the way as one of the more underrated players in the state. He's athletic and dynamic off the dribble. Around him, the Tigers play as a team greater than the sum of their parts. A huge test and potential District-3 decider takes place on Friday, when they travel west to play PCN.

1 Putnam City North - 16-1

Just win baby. It's twice now that the Panthers have escaped Edmond Santa Fe with last second heroics. The latest one was even more impressive as they won it with their senior engine [player_tooltip player_id='1552344' first='Nate' last='Muriithi'] missing most of the fourth and OT with cramps. In between those dramatic wins, they are smashing teams. Broken Arrow is the only other Oklahoma to play them within single digits. One aspect that is starting to separate the Panthers is their ridiculous guard depth. Starting with sophomores [player_tooltip player_id='2509295' first='Keaton' last='Murry'], [player_tooltip player_id='2437536' first='Devion' last='Gillispie'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2381839' first='CJ' last='Heskett']. Heskett was an off the bench spark in the recent win over Santa Fe, including scoring the game winner. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='1437034' first='Mekhi' last='Thomas'] is one of the best shooters in the state and has flourished with more responsibility. While senior [player_tooltip player_id='2495271' first='Malakye' last='Schoats'] will provide the senior urgency needed to win in the playoffs.
