The Drake signee has showed continued improvement inside the paint with both his touch and his passing. Flemons features a unique skillset inside, in which he is able to setup counter moves with both hands. Miles forced overtime at state against eventual champion Norman and has been a double-double machine in his high school career. Look for the senior to continue to work on his body and conditioning at the next level.

was a force in the middle, as always. The Drake commit opened up the floor for his teammates, allowing them to have success from three. Miles has a nice, soft touch around the rim, and he is the best back-to-the-basket player in the state. Miles finished his last game as a Redhawk with 19 points and 15 rebounds, and he was one of the best players on the floor. Flemons also hit the game-tying shot to send it into overtime against the Norman Tigers.

The one man wrecking crew for Union was his usual monstrous self in the middle. Going for 19 points and 15 rebounds. 8 of them of the offensive variety, as even if he misses the first look. Odds are he’ll get it back and finish it the second time. With the season on the line, he took an extended post up and forced his way through two defenders to force overtime. In an age of space and finese, Flemons is such a switch up as he’s powerful and agile on the block. Could potentially impact immediately at Drake as a change of pace option on the block.

Flemons was very impactful in the win over Broken Arrow on Saturday. The senior is able to carve out space inside and in regional play, he got to work early and often. The Redhawks made an effort to get him involved through both high-low feed, as well as post screens. With Dkarrion Titsworth Dkarrion Titsworth 5'10" | PG Union | 2027 State OK shooting well from outside the arc, the paint has begun to open up more and more recently for Flemons. This is another reason why the Muriithi matchup will be so crucial, as Union will undoubtedly need to keep scoring pace in this one. The Redhawks must continue to limit turnovers and Flemons must play within himself inside.

Flemons is the anchor of a Redhawks attack that flows through him. His power and touch around the rim allowed him to dominate the paint vs Southmoore. Putbacks, post ups and more “strong like bull” scoring at the basket. But what really impressed and put Union over the top in their win this past Thursday was his passing. Established a high low connection with fellow forward King. Then when he drew doubles on post ups, his ability to kick it out helped fuel an outstanding team three point shooting performance.
The Drake signee is a great blend of old school power with modern passing and skill for a forward. He’ll be a strong change of pace post at the next level and currently is an All State talent. More than capable of leading Union to another 6A State Tournament appearance.

Flemons is a strong example of having a next level trait and embracing the role his trait provides. In his case it’s fairly simply, “you can’t teach size.” The Union Redhawk is a monster on the block, with good footwork and soft hands to go with the power advantage he has. The sheer power gives him a throwback feel to his game and is a mismatch against small ball teams.
Flemons’ play with Run GMC has led to new offers from. Toledo, Missouri State and Bradley. Those offers come on the heels of June offers from Indiana State, Drake, Montana State, Florida Gulf Coast and Central Arkansas.

The big man will close out his grassroots career with KC RUN GMC, with national games on the Under Armour Circuit. He’s been among the top 2026 prospects since entering the high school level, as it’s not every Oklahoma class that has a prospect with his size and skillset. Flemons is a strong blend of a throwback post, with modern passing and footwork. Those traits led to instant production for Union and even produced collegiate interest last year. Now with only a few months left in his AAU career, it’s on Flemons to find an extra gear and formalize the college interest from Omaha and Bryant, while also potentially add to it.

Anytime Union needed a tough bucket, they seemed to feed the big man. He did a good job of sealing when fronted and scoring easy passes with his soft hands and touch. When they tried to defend from behind, it was “BBQ chicken” with his moves and scoring ability out to 6-8 feet. But the start of the game made clear the area of improvement for Flemons in this stretch run for Union and headed into his 17U season for AAU.
In the first quarter, Broken Arrow often isolated Flemons against their athletic and versatile wings. Either dragging him out of the paint and attacking off the dribble. Or hitting open 15-18 footers when he was late to contest. Flemons did a better job after that slow start, but to play at the next level those are the type of match ups he will see on more regular occasions. The big man must continue to work hard to maximize his quickness and motor on defense.

Flemons is an interesting mix of throwback elements with some glimpses of advanced skillset for a physical big. He has a massive frame and soft touch around the rim, which makes him a force at the basket. The Redhawk is also steadily hitting jumpers in pick and pop and other floor spacing situations. To go along with his touch from the outside, Flemons has good vision out of the high post as a passer. Allowing guards to play off of him, or feeding his fellow post player, senior Erik “Big E” Madrid. This vision and feel could eventually translate into being an effective passer out of short roles situations, giving him the potential to develop into more of an “European” style big.
A couple area of improvement for his development, will involve his quickness and if he gets any more lift. While he does have solid timing as a shot blocker and power as a dunker, he doesn’t have the suddenness that is often seen by prototypical high fliers and rim protectors. But if he continues to be a skilled, power big, he can carve out his own path to next level success.

Flemons continued his strong sophomore campaign with an intriguing mix of power and finesse. It looks like he’s becoming a reliable shooter, especially from the top of the key as he once again splashed home a three pointer. Around the rim, there simply aren’t players built like him and it makes him an unmovable force around the basket. One of the most striking things about watching Flemons this year beyond his physical gifts is the consistency he plays with. To be this reliable as a sophomore speaks volume of the impact he’ll continue make as an upperclassmen.
