Started the year with a bang, and has settled into a role as a big three with a pair of Wildcat seniors. Which gives Piedmont a core capable of making a State run in 6A. He’s a physical guard, who plays to size around the rim on both ends of the court. Can elevate to block and contest shots around the rim. Usually records quite a few steals each game as well. On offense he keeps it simple. Good spot up shooter from beyond the arc. Then when teams close out, he’s a powerful driver to the rim. Shooting, defensive and good athleticism is a combination that usually leads to next level opportunities.

was a hard nosed guard in the Tuesday win. Tough drives, posted up a smaller guard for a bucket and was willing to take a charge. He fits in well with the balanced Wildcats’ offense. Then in the title game on Saturday, he led the way with over 20 points. His performance earned him All Tournament Team honors and could serve as a springboard for a big junior year.

Important piece for the push Piedmont has made since Christmas break. Campbell hits high arcing three pointers as an off the ball spot up threat. Scored 17 in the blowout win over Northwest Classen. Gets off the floor fairly quickly when it comes to helping to protect the rim or finish at the basket. Clearly has intriguing athletic traits from his highlight videos. Which indicates he has the potential next season to make a junior year leap.
