The Wildcats have performed better and better as the season has gone on. They defeated Choctaw this past Saturday, 72-60. This game showcased some big-time shot making, as well as a tremendous effort from this squad on the defensive end. Hite poured in 33 points in the win, including shooting 3-4 from long range. The senior provides efficient offense and can make some very tough shots from all three levels on the floor. If the Wildcats are going to advance to state, Hudson will have to make the most of a slower game and potentially limited possessions against Norman.

Piedmont is a step closer to hosting a Regional, and it came largely on the back of the senior guard. Was money as a spot up threat and movement shooter. Including a clutch triple in the fourth. Peppered in a consistently old school mid-range jumper through out. Isn’t fancy with his handles but knows how to generate that inch or two space to stop and smoothly hit. Got to the rim for a big finish to take the lead in overtime. Then helped seal the game with free throws. Finished with 24 points for the Wildcats in a playoff type win.

After a small setback to end the first semester, Hite led the Wildcats to a 4-0 mark week. Including three double digit victories at the Enid Classic. The talented senior poured in 22.3 points per game for the tournament. While shooting 56.5% from the field and 38.1% from deep. It was a good tune for a pivotal district week, with games against US Grant and Norman.

Hite missed a chunk of the scrimmage season with an injury, but was back and had his finger prints over the win. Multifaceted guard, who helped the offense with good, unselfish passing. Especially in the fourth. Was quieter as a scorer, but picked his spots with mid-range, catch and shoot and even drawing fouls after good footwork on drives. There will be bigger scoring nights for Hite, but he showed why he’s been a four year varsity contributor by always finding ways to make an impact.

Hite has flourished as the primary option for Piedmont. He started the new semester with 30 points against top Class 6A squad Choctaw. That came in a tough loss but recently he’s helped the Wildcats put together three straight district wins over Edmond Santa, Eisenhower Fe and Putnam City North. Last night’s win over PCN was particularly impressive and gives Piedmont a shot at a top half of District 2 finish. He poured in 25 points and grabbed 9 boards in that win against one of the best senior backcourts in Oklahoma.
Hite is also starting to show more explosiveness to his game, with above the rim finishes in transition. After being a strong all around guard, Hite has made the jump to go to scoring option in one of the toughest districts in Oklahoma. This week, Piedmont will attempt to keep the momentum rilling at Deer Creek’s Bruce Gray tournament.

is a very smooth guard who made an impact all over the court. He excelled while getting into transition and did a great job of finishing himself as well as finding others who had easier looks. His motor was nonstop throughout the event as he disrupted opponents while on defense by coming away with a number of steals.

Similar to Kennedy, Hite pays with outstanding pace and control. Especially for a sophomore. He made his biggest offensive contributions in the third frame. With a pair of great drives and finishes at the rim, including one old fashion three point play. He also flashed on the defensive end during one opportunity to cover Miller, where had a great defensive rep and earned a stop on one of the best “iso” players in the state.
