His ability to score off the dribble and from deep keeps defenders off balance.

Owen Ayite-Atayi, 6-3, Sr., G, Verona -- Defense is the name of the game for Ayite Atayl, a physical specimen who could very well emerge as one of the better and more versatile defenders in the Big Eight Conference for Verona in 2025-26. He has had a strong spring/summer and is beginning to gain confidence on the offensive end thanks to his strong moves to the rim.

Coulee United

[player_tooltip player_id='2423423' first='Braylon' last='Backaus'], 6-1, Jr., G, Black River Falls -- Backaus is playing up an age group, but the prolific scoring backcourt ace is more than ready to tackle the challenge of playing against older players. He can score it in a lot of ways, and is one of the more enjoyable players to watch from the state's gifted 2027 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2424246' first='Cullen' last='Jacobus'], 5-10, Sr., G, North Crawford -- Endless energy and big-time production are among the traits of Jacobus, who helped North Crawford to a WIAA Division 5 sectional appearance last season. Like others on this talented squad, Pfender also can get on a roll from outside the three-point arc.

[player_tooltip player_id='2622833' first='Sam' last='Bezlyk'], 6-3, Sr., G/F, Spencer -- A physical player who can wear down opponents with his endless pursuit of the basket. He loves to drive the ball, but Bezlyk also can drill perimeter points. He might not be the most athletic player on the floor, but his production is impressive, nonetheless.

CV Select L&G

[player_tooltip player_id='2397759' first='Nathan' last='Hazel'], 6-3, Jr., G, McDonell Central Catholic -- Like some others in 17U, Hazel has opted to play up an age group to test his game against older players. He is able to score through contact in the post due to his size and strength, he has improved at exchanging ends on the court, and he is becoming a better passer when double teamed. Another year of improvement like Brady has shown the past 12 months would elevate his game even higher.

McKhale Wesley, 6-2, Jr., G, Shorewood -- An athletic wing prospect who utilizes his length and anticipation to consistently disrupt things for opponents on the perimeter, Wesley can turn a turnover into a breakaway dunk as fast as almost every other player in the state. He has been solid all spring and summer for this talented Playmakers squad.

[player_tooltip player_id='2508649' first='Jayden' last='Suehs'], 6-11, Jr., F, Stevens Point -- Suehs lacks the physicality of Bouressa, but his length and intimidating presence near the basket figures to get him some minutes for SPASH next winter. He can handle the ball and make mid-range shots, but tends to get bumped around a bit when closer to the basket with the ball in his hands.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140993' first='Xavier' last='Bezares'], 6-1, Jr., G, Neenah -- Talented backcourt performer who can shoot it, handle it and pass it.
