Expert Analysis

Devon impressed me with his smooth all-around game and stood out with his tenacious defense often resulting in easy buckets for his team. On offense he was as comfortable pushing the ball in transition as he was taking it to the hoop. As good as he was off of the dribble, he was also equally capable of knocking down the 19-to-24-foot three pointer. His three-point shooting percentage took a dip last season but based on what I saw, I expect him to be one of the top shooters in the conference.

Devon helped lead UTC Fire to a 4-0 record over the weekend, and on Sunday was dropping dimes to lead his team past Minnesota Heat . He showcased a shifty handle to blow by his initial defender, and from there was able to dish it off to a teammate stepping in around the rim for easy finishes. Sag off and Devon proved to be able to hit the three with consistency. When he wasn’t dropping no-look dimes or putting points on the board for himself, Devon stood out with his vocal leadership on the floor for his team.

When he gets his feet set and has a clean look at the basket, Feck can snap the nets from deep better than almost every other player in the state. The shooting guard from Rhinelander made six three-point shots and scored 20 points Saturday morning to help UTC Fire register a 58-56 victory over The Work Foundation out of the Chicago area. In addition to his No. 1 strength of long-distance shooting, Feck competes with energy and passion on defense, is a willing passer and cheers on his teammates. In short, Feck is a true team player who makes a difference in any game he plays because of his shooting skill.

Devon had a big time performance on Sunday against Northstar Titans . He showcased impressive change of pace on the ball, able to freeze defenders and then blow by them to get to his spots. He has the ability to explode off two feet and hang in the air to finish over a defender, or he can stop on a dime for a pull-up jumper. Had a sequence in the first half where he scored in transition, hit a three, and then knocked down all three free throws after being fouled on another three. Those 8 points in about a minute showcased his ability to takeover a game at any given moment.

Feck was a reliable source of floor spacing for team 8. He caused opponents to play up on their toes when guarding due to his quick trigger. Feck has a knack for getting himself open when off of the ball. His deadly range and mechanics were on full display at the Expo.
