About Grayson

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Fast, smart and aggressive.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Very high basketball IQ. Love the game of basketball and very coachable. Also, strong leadership skills on and off the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Leadership things at school. Student of the month. Hoping to get into more things when in high school.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have goals around leadership and learning how to channel my skills for the better on and off the court. I have also learned to listen and reflect on things. I work hard to be a good example on and off the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I haven't faced any really hard challenges. The worst thing is when I got injured in soccer and had to take a few months off. It was a bad injury and I had to learn to be mentally tough.

I am not exactly sure?

Rooney is a confident point guard who thrives with the ball in his hands. He attacks the lane with purpose, finishing strong through contact and has a smooth step back jumper that makes him a tough cover in isolation. His ability to create offense for himself and his team gives him real playmaking value. As he continues to grow, it’ll be exciting to see how Rooney continues to develop in transition. Continuing to push the pace, making effective reads and controlling tempo for his team. Defensively taking pride in becoming a true stopper on the perimeter will round out his game and make him a complete two way guard. With his skill set and competitiveness, Rooney’s progression is definitely one to watch
