Expert Analysis

Bobby Lopez

Prep Hoops Scout

Rose is firmly on our watchlist because we see a clear path toward becoming a valuable two way player. His perimeter shooting gives him a skill that can translate, while his toughness and competitiveness should help him make an impact defensively. We’ll be looking for him to become more active in creating opportunities, attacking closeouts and making the most of his touches. The more confident he becomes in those areas, the more his overall game should open up. We believe Rose has the chance to develop into a player who brings consistent value on both ends and earns plenty of attention along the way

It took a bit for Rose to get going, but once he did, he started to piece together plays in a row. That’s when he stood out. He competed, played hard, and showed that he has some shooting range when his feet were underneath him. There were flashes, although I wanted him to be a bit more assertive and for him to impose his will. Rose showed a potential floor-spacing element, and now it’s about becoming more aggressive, not only as a scorer but also making sure he plays within the flow of the offense. Every team needs a 3&D, and he shows signs of becoming that.
