Robert plays for the Wisconsin Playmakers National 17U squad, Robert is a defensive-minded power forward who affects the game most with his shot blocking and rebounding. But he’s also a capable scorer as he averaged 18.1 points per game as a junior for a squad that went 19-9 at Menomonie. Robert is a good passer out of double teams, runs the floor well and is quick off his feet. He’s a player NCAA Division II programs might want to check out this spring and summer as he continues to improve and impact games.

The sky is the limit for Robert, who attends Menomonie High School. The six-foot-eight front court player is an outstanding rim protector and showcased his ability to reek havoc on opposing offenses on Saturday. Trevor swatted several attempts at the rim and made Zero Star question every shot they put up around the hoop. On the offensive end, you can find Robert leading the break, finishing through and around contact, relentlessly rebounding the ball and finding his teammates out of double teams across the court. Robert is extremely athletic and quick for his size and has the potential to contribute to a program at the next level.

Another big man who continues to climb the Player Rankings, Robert helped Menomonie to a 19-9 record by putting up 18 ppg and 9 rpg for the Mustangs. He led his team in both categories and ranks among the elite frontline prospects in the competitive Big Rivers Conference. The first-team all-league recipient shot 58 percent from the field. He got to the foul line a bunch for the Mustangs, but managed to hit on just 44 percent of his 161 attempts so that will be an area he can improve heading into his senior season.

A shot blocker with excellent timing to swat away potential baskets, Robert continues to come into his own for Menomonie. Although still a bit of a project away from the basket, Robert still is playing a huge role for the Mustangs, who are off to an 8-3 start to the season. The bouncy 6-foot-8 forward is averaging 16.5 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 blocked shots. He has grown an inch or so over the past six months and his presence in the lane is a problem for all opposing teams on both ends of the court.

I’ve had a chance to watch Trevor play at a couple of events this summer. My impression has been the same at both. He is young (an incoming sophomore) and has great potential to become a top player to watch. He flashed good comfort with his handle, putting it behind his back when he brought it up. While he doesn’t bring it up often, it was good to see that he can put it on the floor effectively when he needs to. You’ll mostly find Trevor in the paint where he can utilize his size and length on both ends of the court. He plays with an easy flow, which suggests there is a smooth athleticism waiting to emerge. My impression is that he is still developing and, as such, he does not have the confidence to be a more aggressive player. Should he add a layer of tenacity to his game in the next few years, he could be a handful.
