Freshmen and Sophomore Showcases are THIS WEEKEND

Freshmen

Malik Martin Malik Martin 6'7" | SF Minneapolis Henry | 2029 State MN , Mekhi Abner Mekhi Abner 6'6" | PF/SF Minnehaha Academy | 2029 State MN and Justus Dayee. Martin, Abner and Dayee are three of the top five players in the incoming class and they will be playing at Minneapolis Camden, Minnehaha Academy and Tartan respectively. All three of those players will be at the Freshman Showcase as we get a closer look at their potential.

Another group of top players includes Gio Horton Gio Horton 5'6" Valley Middle School | 2029 State MN (Apple Valley), Adonis Williams Jr Adonis Williams Jr 6'1" South St Paul | 2029 State MN (South St. Paul), Joey Wright Joey Wright 6'2" | PG Mahtomedi | 2029 State MN (Mahtomedi), Tchidi Ejimadu Tchidi Ejimadu 6'1" State MN (Park Center), and Caden Brent Caden Brent 6'2" | PF Dawson-Boyd | 2029 State MN (Dawson-Boyd) and all five of these players are ranked in the top 15 in the state after very good spring/summer seasons, winter seasons, or both! And our staff is looking forward to getting a chance at seeing them compete and that of course includes seeing them compete against one another.

Other top 25 players include Elijah Christenson Elijah Christenson 6'6" | PF/SF Rogers | 2029 State MN (Rogers), Kyle Joyner (Hopkins), Madani Camara Madani Camara 6'3" | PG/C Cathedral high school | 2029 MN (St. Cloud Cathedral), and Telen Ferguson Telen Ferguson 5'9" | PG/SG Saint Cloud tech | 2029 State MN (St. Cloud Tech).

Sophomores

Top ranked Ichima Idoko Ichima Idoko 6'7" | PF DeLaSalle | 2028 State MN of DeLaSalle and top five player Emmanuel Oyesanmi Emmanuel Oyesanmi 6'4" | SF/PF Tartan | 2028 State MN of Tartan are both signed up for the Sophomore event. A year ago Idoko made a huge impression at the freshman event and then he saw time with DeLaSalle, and then had a great 15u season with Grassroots Sizzle . He's since earned a handful of D1 offers. Oyesanmi, like Idoko, was an all State 15u player this year and we've seen growth in his game. And this weekend we will get another chance to see the growth of his game.

Top ten prospects Jonas McCreary Jonas McCreary 6'6" | CG/SF DeLaSalle | 2028 State MN of DeLaSalle and Jesse Riziq Jesse Riziq 6'8" | C/PF Totino-Grace | 2028 State MN of Totino-Grace are also expected to be at the camp on Saturday. McCreary is a 6'6 guard that had an outstanding year with the Minnesota Fury while Riziq is a 6'8 frontcourt prospect that needs time to grow but there is a good amount of potential there. And this weekend we get a chance to see how much growth there has been since Jesse was at that event last year.

Top 20 prospects at the event will include Brooks Rechtzigel Brooks Rechtzigel 6'3" | SG/PG Cannon Falls | 2028 State MN (Cannon Falls), Willie Wright Jr Willie Wright Jr 5'10" Minnetonka | 2028 State MN (Minnetonka) and Acaurii Clark Acaurii Clark 6'3" | CG/SG Two Rivers | 2028 State MN (Two Rivers). Brooks was outstanding with the Heat and he helped Cannon Falls last winter. Clark is a guy we've been told a ton about from the 15u year, and Wright is a player we saw at the camp last year, and on varsity at Tonka last December.
