Also an extremely versatile player who plays with a high basketball IQ and exceptional poise, Kohnen led the highly competitive North Shore in scoring (23.1 ppg) and rebounding (12.1 rpg), but his biggest attribute might be his stellar ability to pass the ball. The first-team all-league selection averaged 25.1 points and made 33 percent of his three-point attempts (62 of 188). In addition, Johnson contributed 8.2 rpg, 3.0 apg and 2.5 spg as the Pioneers went 17-9.

Johnson has more scholarship offers than either Davis or Kohnen as Bryant, Cincinnati, Grambling State, Marquette, McNeese State, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, SMU, Western Illinois, and Wisconsin have also extended scholarships to the rangy backcourt performer.

The next two athletes in the updated Player Rankings for 2027 helped their teams to WIAA state titles last month.

No. 4-ranked [player_tooltip player_id='2288469' first='Jalen' last='Brown'], an athletic 6-foot-4 wing, was instrumental in Wauwatosa West capturing the Division 2 crown while No. 5-ranked [player_tooltip player_id='2140949' first='Kager' last='Knueppel'], an emerging 6-foot-8 wing with deep shooting range, did the same for Wisconsin Lutheran in Division 1.

Brown is at his best in the open court and is one of the top players in Wisconsin in turning turnovers into points. A relentless defender, Brown was voted first-team all-league in the Greater Metro and averaged 22.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 2.7 steals while helping the Trojans to a 24-6 record. He has scored 1,031 points in two varsity seasons and is a key player for the [program_tooltip program_id='2076433' first='Kevon' last='Looney Power 5'] club program.

Brown owns NCAA Division I offers from Arizona State, Grambling State, Mississippi State, Northern Illinois and West Virginia.

Knueppel, younger brother of former Wisconsin Lutheran star Kon Knueppel, might lag a bit behind the top four in terms of scholarship offers, but that figures to change in a hurry this spring/summer as he competes with the [program_tooltip program_id='2391400' first='Team' last='Herro'] program on Nike's prestigious EYBL.

A first-team all-Woodland West performer, [player_tooltip player_id='2140949' first='Kager' last='Knueppel'] came into his own during his sophomore season. A very good defender due to his length and ability to slid his feet on the perimeter, Knueppel averaged 13.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.3 blocked shots while helping the Vikings to a 28-2 record. His best attribute is his beautiful jump shot from deep as he made 51-of-137 attempts from three-point range for 37 percent.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140983' first='Tref' last='Rademaker'], a 6-foot-9 forward from [program_tooltip program_id='2829078' first='West' last='De Pere'], is the No.6-ranked player in 2027. He recently picked up a DI offer from Manhattan, and is coming off a first-team all-Bay Conference season.

Rademaker is a skilled player, particularly when he is scoring and passing out of the post. He runs the floor well, has very good length and can make shots in the paint or facing the basket. As a sophomore at Nicolet, Hayfort averaged 11.8 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.5 blocked shots while helping the Knights to a 19-7 record.

Like Hayfort, No. 8-ranked [player_tooltip player_id='2371700' first='Deuce' last='McDuffie'] of Milwaukee King has an enormous upside to his game.

The son of former King great Otto McDuffie, [player_tooltip player_id='2371700' first='Deuce' last='McDuffie'] is a skilled 6-foot-6 wing who received first-team all-Gold Division recognition as a sophomore in the Milwaukee City Conference. A very good athlete who owns an offer from Grambling State, McDuffie averaged 19.7 points and 6.3 rebounds for the Generals.

Another quickly emerging player in the 2027 class checks in at No. 9 as Dominican's [player_tooltip player_id='2127267' first='Zaihir' last='Jones'] is starting to prove he is a high-level prospect thanks to his size, strength and skill.

The first-team all-Metro Classic Conference performer helped Dominican to a 19-7 record by averaging 18.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists.
