4A Section 2: Records, Places, and Prospects

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Prior Lake 12-3 (3)</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1434127' first='Norbu' last='Jenpa'] - Jenpa is the leader of a deep Prior Lake Lakers team as he is averaging 20 points per game so far. Jenpa has 4 games so far making multiple 3-pointers in games. He has deep range and looks very comfortable letting it fly spotted up. Jenpa plays mostly as a secondary ball handler and works in the shooting guard/small forward spots. Jenpa was recently named to the MN Mr. Basketball watchlist.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='2109916' first='Cade' last='Wozney'] - The five-foot-eleven-inch 2025 point guard is averaging 10 points per game. Wozney excels at sneaking out steals, stepping out in front of passes and jumping passing lanes. Wozney is the engineer of the Lakers offense.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1579916' first='Brayden' last='Thompson'] - The six-foot-two-inch 2025 guard is averaging 8.5 points per game for the Lakers. Thompson is a strong outside shooter, and has very good mechanics spotted up on the perimeter.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='2635710' first='Colten' last='Gunderson'] - Gunderson is a 2026 six-foot-six-inch forward who is averaging 8 points per game. Gunderson is a good athlete on the football field as he plays wide receiver on the football team. He uses his height, and length well, and has good hands.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='2126466' first='Kobby' last='Sambrew'] - The 2027 Sambrew is a six-foot-six-inch forward/wing that uses his agile athletic ability and length to borrow defenders on the perimeter and does well rebounding inside. Sambrew has shown ability on the perimeter shooting.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='2052332' first='Trey' last='Theis'] - Theis is a 2027 six-foot-five–inch forward that is very versalite on the perimeter and inside. Theis is a solid skilled forward, passes well, rebounds, and has shown potential on the perimeter as a shooter. </p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Minnetonka 10-4 (13)</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1567964' first='Isa' last='El-Amin'] - El-Amin is now averaging 23.7 points per game, and was named MN Mr. Basketball watchlist 2024-25. He is committed to University of St. Thomas for football. Richardson is a secondary ball handler, solid defender with his quickness, speed, and athletic ability as he's a wide receiver on the football team. </p>    <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2121339' first='Anthony' last='Ortiz'] - Ortiz is a 2026 six-foot-two-inch guard for the Skippers. Decent athlete who's able to finish above the rim. Ortiz can shoot it from the perimeter. Hudson's calling on the court is on ball defense, even versus the most elite in the state.</p>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2560540' first='Willie' last='Wright Jr']. - Wright stepped in earlier in the year when El-Amin was out with a foot injury. He showed a lot of promise in September at the freshman showcase versus others in his class.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Shakopee 8-5 (15)</h2>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1575347' first='Luke' last='Wherley'] - Wherley is a six-foot-five-inch 2025 senior small forward that is averaging 17.6 points per game. Wherley has at least 7 games with multiple 3-pointers as he's a very good catch and shoot jumper shooter. The lefty does well spacing off ball-handlers and quickly shoots off passes. Wherley is signed and committed to Jamestown (D2 North Dakota).</p>    <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1436821' first='Eli' last='Schroeder'] - Schroeder is the legit scoring guard for the Sabers averaging 14.8 points per game. Has good range, and can make 3-pointers in bunches. Dangerous for most opponents in transition.  Committed to UW LaCrosse for basketball.</p>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1575342' first='Isaac' last='Cordes'] - Cordes is the point guard for the Sabers and was with [program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury']'s talent 17U team. He's scoring 12 points per game while also as the main facilitator. He's committed to Northwestern College (D3 in Minnesota).</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1574229' first='Devin' last='Pass'] - Pass is a 2025 six-foot-three-inch shooting guard from Shakopee who's averaging 10.7 points per game. In two recent games versus Rosemount and Lakeville, South Pass sank 9 3-pointers. Pass has some offensive ability off the bounce and is a very good team passer.</p>    <p><a href="https://twitter.com/DevinPass_/status/1842672249431547945">https://twitter.com/DevinPass_/status/1842672249431547945</a></p>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2126458' first='Luke' last='Schroeder'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2126468' first='Blake' last='Betton'] - Two 2027 players still looking to make an impact behind their senior teammates. Betton was injured in the football state tournament and has just returned recently.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Eden Prairie 6-8 (27)</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1574221' first='Max' last='Lorenson'] - Lorenson is a 2025 shooting guard from Eden Prairie who's averaging 22.9 points per game and he's had some big scoring games so far including 44 points versus Totino-Grace and 41 points versus Minneapolis Washburn. Lorenson can be a big time shooter from the perimeter and has enough athleticism to get to the rim. Off the ball movement Lorenson has done very well so far, especially coming off screens.</p>    <p><a href="https://twitter.com/FreshCoastHoops/status/1880027978979242055">https://twitter.com/FreshCoastHoops/status/1880027978979242055</a></p>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1560851' first='Hamze' last='Yusuf'] - The six-foot-two-inch Yusuf is setting more into being a point guard, lead guard type running the show. He is the 2nd leading scorer for the Eagles at 15.6 points per game and does very well to get out in transition to use his speed. Yusuf is showing a bit his junior year at being more consistent, and he's always been good at deflecting passes and jumping passing lanes.</p>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2119596' first='Cooper' last='Fahning'] - Fahning is a six-foot-seven-inch 2026 forward for the Eagles. Fahning can spread the floor and is a stretch forward. Can put together games like versus Chanhassen where he had 16 points and 6 rebounds. He closes on shooters well, and uses his length to alter shots.</p>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2137323' first='Carter' last='Pulrang'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1560877' first='Grant' last='Sprute'] have offered outstanding shooting for the Eagles playing as 4th or 5th options in the offense. Sprute, a five-foot-eleven-inch 2026 guard has racked up multiple games with multiple steals and 3-pointers. Pulrang, a 2027 sophomore guard, has 4 games with at least 2 3-pointers made.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Waconia 7-8 (33)</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1560741' first='Will' last='Kirsch'] -  The six-foot-one-inch 2026 Kirsch is averaging 24.5 points per game through 11 games. In those 11 he's scored at least 16 points in all games and has scored more than 20 in every game but one. Very productive and efficient outside shooter. His spot-up 3-pointer jumper looks good on every release. He uses that threat of outside shooting to open opportunities off the dribble on the perimeter and passing. He's netted at least three assists in the last 5 games.</p>    <p><a href="https://twitter.com/FreshCoastHoops/status/1870678268447449513">https://twitter.com/FreshCoastHoops/status/1870678268447449513</a></p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Chanhassen 6-8 (35)</h2>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1760312' first='Riley' last='Johnson'] - The 2025 six-foot-four-inch Chanhassen shooting guard is committed to Augustana and is averaging 25.7 points per game. Johnson is a pretty good outside shooter and has netted over 30 or more points 6 times this season already. </p>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1617724' first='John' last='Schmidt'] - The six-foot-five-inch 2025 guard Schmidt is averaging 16.8 points per game while scoring in double figures 13 of 14 games. On January 18th he went for a season high 28 in a win versus Mound Westonka hitting 6 3-pointers. Schmidt did well to get himself available for teammates and knock down 3-pointers even with defenders closing out.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='2140561' first='Benett' last='Barger'] - Barger is a 2027 six-foot-five-inch forward that is averaging 11.3 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. Barger has had some nice productivity on the boards like 14 versus Lakeville South when he grabbed 8 offensive boards. Good floor runner, will be in the right position on defense to attempt to make a play and has good reaction and reflexes to steal passes.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Chaska 5-9 (37)</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='2126118' first='Tyler' last='Forrest'] - The 2027 Chaska point guard has made strides athletically this season and that athleticism was on full display versus Orono Tuesday night. On a play Forrest was called for a foul but looked clean on video, blocked a lay-up at the rim where he was clearly above the rim. Forrest's defense and passing vision got him on the floor as an 8th grader two years ago and it is still his calling card. Forrest is a traditional point guard type, good pick and roll ball handler.</p>    <p>Tray Lenzen - The six-foot-seven-inch 2025 forward from Chaska is leading them in scoring at 17 points per game. Lenzen has been consistent all year over 10 points in every game. Lenzen has a back to the basket game a bit and stretches the floor with his shooting. He's committed to Northwestern College (D3 in Minnesota).</p>
