I think all the Blake football offers, the down Shako season, and not playing hoops in the spring made us forget what Blake can really down on the court. When he was hooping this summer he was commonly the best two-way player on the floor including first team all event honors at the Tune Up.

Blake is the top football prospect in the state and he is headed to Penn State to play football next year. On the hardwood Betton is a double figure scorer, a great defender, a top 50 hoops prospect and we saw the way Hoop Habits was changed in July when Blake was on the floor. was all over the floor making plays for Hoop Habits against
Minnesota Fury
. At 6’3 he’s an extremely versatile defender, with the long arms and strong frame necessary to defend against bigger forwards, while still being able to move his feet out on the perimeter. Any time he got near the basket he was able to absorb contact, keep his balance, and still finish at a high percentage. Penn State football commit who can hold his own at a high level on the hardwood.

Although more known as a Division One football prosepct, Blake can still do some damage on the hardwood. He does a great job of utilizing his strength to play bigger than his listed 6’3 height, able to shut defend bigger forwards in the post or clear out space with a box out before attacking the ball off the rim. Offensively he does a great job of getting an edge and just pinning his defender on his hip as he explodes to the rim. Soft lefty touch to finish with efficiency inside. He helped lead his MN Exposure team to the quarterfinals in the 17u bracket.
