Jacob had one of the best individual performances I have seen this season in a win over Waconia at the Breakdown Big Stage. The 6-foot guard scored 32 points and took the game over at times. He was knocking down tough looks off the dribble and was attacking the basket with aggression. He is also a pest on the defensive end, coming away with steals and loose balls. Hudson is an effective finisher in transition as well, capping off finishes at full speed.

If you watched Jacob play on Saturday, you’d find it hard to believe he appeared in just 10 varsity games for Hopkins last season. Now at Minnetonka he’s been a key player early in the year, and exploded for 28 points to helped lead his team to a win against Waconia. He’s exceptionally quick getting to his spots off the dribble, and was finding success hitting shots from three or exploding to finish at the rim. Perhaps most impressive though was his intensity defensively. He was pressuring the ball hard every possession, and did a great job of fighting to get over screens. Opposing guards had very little success trying to attack the basket against him, and his pressure throughout the game helped force a handful of loose balls.
