1. Imhotep Charter: The defending 5A state champions stand at 6-3, but their only “local” loss was to PCL favorite Father Judge (No. 1 ranked team in area). Athletic wing [player_tooltip player_id='1406792' first='Zaahir' last='Muhammad-Gray'] (No. 1 ranked 2026 prospect in the state) has missed time with an injury, but his teammates has stepped up. Quick twitch point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2450653' first='Ian' last='Smith'] has pushed the fast break for score and assists. Senior wing [player_tooltip player_id='2047550' first='Carnell' last='Henderson'] has been a major contributor and proven again that he is a legitimate DI prospect. Highly touted 2027 [player_tooltip player_id='2407095' first='Zion' last='Green'] has shown tremendous growth in his game.

2. Plymouth Whitemarsh: “P-Dub” has jumped out to a 6-1 start with quality wins against Neumann-Goretti, Samuel Fels and Methacton. Their lone defeat came at the hands of PCL contender Bonner & Prendergast. Elite shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='1576723' first='Mani' last='Sajid'] (handful of DI offers) has been incredible. He recently poured in 30 points (4 threes) against La Salle CHS. Point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2427190' first='Buddy' last='Denard'] has directed half court sets and piloted the fast break. 6'8” power forward [player_tooltip player_id='2400237' first='Michael' last='Pereira'] has grabbed the attention of college coaches after posting several double doubles. Combo guard [player_tooltip player_id='2206402' first='Terron' last='Davis'] has been a plus player at both ends. 6'6” Class of 2026 prospect Micah Thompson has emerged as key rotational piece.

3. Central York: The defending 6A state champions are off to a 5-0 start that includes a win over Philly Catholic League contender Neumann Goretti. Elusive scoring point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1287319' first='Ben' last='Natal'] (multiple DI offers) has stepped into the No. 1 option role and thrived. 6'10” power forward [player_tooltip player_id='1271440' first='Ben' last='Rill'] has made a habit of recording double doubles. Earlier this month Rill poured in 31 points in a win over Spring Grove. Two-way combo guard Saxton Suchanic has been the “glue guy” for this CY team. Additionally, backcourt prospects [player_tooltip player_id='2047667' first='JoJo' last='Woodard'] (Penn College commit), [player_tooltip player_id='2336886' first='Brooklyn' last='Nace'], [player_tooltip player_id='2247335' first='Ryan' last='Jackson'], [player_tooltip player_id='2436083' first='Doug' last='Layer Jr']., and Ryan Brown have made key contributions as well. Central York will face a tough test again on December 27th as they take on a talented Downingtown West squad.

4. Upper Dublin: UD has gotten out to a 7-1 start to begin the 2024-25 season. That lone setback came in the season opener at Lower Merion. Last week the Cardinals pulled off an overtime upset of previously undefeated and now No. 5 ranked Coatesville. In that game shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='1269299' first='Ryan' last='Mulroy'] hit for 22 points (2 threes) and stretch-4 prospect [player_tooltip player_id='2047682' first='Idris' last='Rines'] contributed 20 points. The sneaky athletic Mulroy is a three-level scoring machine who has been red-hot to start this season. Rines owns the versatility, size and shooting touch that college coaches obsess over. Dynamic point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1888851' first='Kobe' last='Bazemore'], 3-point ace [player_tooltip player_id='2916973' first='Noah' last='Cohen'] and 2027 wing prospect [player_tooltip player_id='2633181' first='Justin' last='Ragsdale'] have all had their shining moments too.

5. Coatesville: The Red Raiders cruised to a 6-0 start before their previously mentioned overtime loss to Upper Dublin. 6'4” freshman [player_tooltip player_id='2485359' first='Colton' last='Hiller'] poured in 22 points in that defeat. Hiller is a 3-point sniper who has already posted a few 20+ point performances over the first month of this season. Long and athletic small forward [player_tooltip player_id='1576717' first='Larry' last='Brown'] has presented serious matchup problems for opponents. The backcourt of point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1379430' first='Amon' last='Fowlkes'] and combo guard [player_tooltip player_id='1874234' first='Nasir' last='Williams'] have scored at every level and caused chaos with their menacing full-court pressure. Hybrid-forward [player_tooltip player_id='2247328' first='Jonas' last='Chester'] has been a solid presence on the interior at both ends.
