The standout for Central York in the lopsided defeat was easily the play of Rill, who came out aggressive and never stopped competing until his curtain call with a couple minutes to play. A recent commit to PSAC stalwart Shippensburg, the lefty post opened the game showing off his improved stroke from beyond the arc with a pair of 3s in the opening quarter. He would go on to establish himself down low with a gritty effort against a sizable Roman frontcourt. Rill would finish with 14 points in the final game of an accomplished high school career.

The top available two-way forward in Pennsylvania has received a handful of D2 offers, but on Friday night Rill proved once again that mid-major DI programs should contact him immediately. Two nights ago, Rill scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in CY’s District 3-6A title game win over Central Dauphin. Eighteen of Rill’s points came in the second half where he simply took over the game from the interior. With superstar guard

Rill remains the top available two-way forward in Pennsylvania. This season he averaged 19.5 points along with 9 rebounds per night. Rill has shown no signs of letting up during the District 3-6A tournament. In the CY’s District quarterfinal win over William Penn, this talented stretch-4 prospect notched 26 points. He drained 2 threes and scored repeatedly from in close. Rill’s polished footwork enabled him to dominate on the interior via posts ups, dives to the rim and collecting offensive rebounds for put backs. On defense he provided rim protection and controlled the glass. Rill holds a handful of D2 offers, but mid-major DI programs are sleeping on this big fella.

The best available two-way power forward in SEPA recorded another double double as Central York defeated Coatesville in a matchup of 6A state title contenders. In the win Rill (20 ppg.) was a dominating interior presence as he scored 25 points and hauled in 10 rebounds. As always, Rill was an offensive force in the paint. He scored on post ups over both shoulders, via the offensive glass and on dives to the cup. But in this game Rill also flashed the ability to run the floor for transition baskets. Rill holds offers from a handful of D2 programs, but more college coaches should be blowing up his phone.

Rill did a great job of scoring on the interior and has good touch within seven feet. He has an array of moves inside. Rill altered a few shots and pulled down a fair share of rebounds. He added 20 points with 11 coming in the 2nd half. I would like to see Rill stay home more on the defensive end and be straight up when attackers run into to him down low. He should also uses fakes more because high school defenders will buy them more times than not.

Rill is the best available two-way power forward in SEPA. He holds offers from a handful of D2 programs, but more college coaches should be contacting this double double machine. Rill is an offensive force in the paint. His length, imposing frame, polished footwork, and ability to finish with either hand make him unstoppable around the cup. Rill’s jump shot is an effective weapon out to 16 feet. He is the frequent recipient of double teams, but Rill is quick to recognize that scheme and then move the ball to an open teammate. On defense Rill dominates the glass and he is an intimidating shot blocker. Last season Rill posted 12 points per night, was a 2nd Team All-York-Adams selection and helped CY to the 6A state title.
