Long and lanky wing that thrives getting downhill and once he gets in the paint, he showed his ability to explode to the rim and finish with authority. Big first stride with a quick first step to get by his defender where he showed he was a willing passer to open shooters. Was a difference maker on the defensive end. Able to guard multiple positions. Moves his feet and uses his length and athleticism to his advantage in passing lanes and as a rebounder.

Renn is a prototypical “plug-and-play” sort of prospect. He didn’t put up huge stats for Terre Haute North as a junior, but he contributes to winning consistently. His presence translated to the Indiana All-Star team and to the 3SSB Circuit with Indiana Elite. However, he really did a lot more than “just” play his role on Friday. Renn was a standout while causing havoc on the defensive end, dominating the game in transition, and scoring it consistently at the rim and from the mid-range. He is one that Division I programs should be taking a serious look at over the course of the summer.

Tyler Renn Tyler Renn 6'6" | SF Andrew's Osborne Academy | 2028 OH is one of the few actual in-state players for Indiana Elite 17U and is easily one of the more aggressive players, as well. Super tough, wide-framed guard that did a great job attacking the defense in the lane and getting to the basket very well. He is a well-rounded player with length in the backcourt and plays with such a high motor on both ends of the floor. Has not even scratched the surface of what he will end up becoming.

The 6’6 hybrid wing has had a strong start to the spring and will look to continue to build momentum. He uses his length well at the end of his drives to get up and finish around the rim. It is hard to quantify what this 6’6″ athletic guard brings to the table. His ability to handle the ball at his size, the way his length disrupts the game defensively, and his athleticism on the glass all routinely push his impact beyond the box score. Renn was especially useful down the stretch in Saturday’s Regional win shooting 9-10 from three throw line in the fourth quarter. He finished with 15 points in Terre Haute North’s 62-54 win over Columbus North.

Renn possesses some pretty special athletic and physical tools. The 6’6″ wing is an explosive athlete with great positional size and length. He had his versatile two-way game on full display as Terre Haute North escaped with a 59-58 overtime victory at Evansville North on Friday night. Renn, a talented junior prospect, finished with 14 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 blocked shots.

The Terre Haute North Patriots are once again one of the top Class 4A teams in the state with guys that give them a lot of versatility on the floor. At 6’6, Renn is a true mismatch player that can be a playmaker at all levels of the floor with great moves off the bounce. The rest of this year, going into the summer, then into his senior year, Renn could be one of our top breakout players in the 2027 class.

The sky is the limit for how high Renn can continue to climb. He continues to grow, now standing at 6’6″ with impressive length, while retaining his guard skill. Renn can serve as a secondary playmaker in the half court with an impressive repertoire of moves off of the bounce. He uses his length well at the end of his drives to get up and finish around the rim. Terre Haute North High School should be very good again this season and Renn is set for a breakout year.
