Thursday offered our first look at LaCross is a Homestead uniform. The 6’4″ scoring guard transferred from Blackhawk Christian where he spent his first two seasons. LaCross is an excellent shot-maker and all-around scorer, which was on display at Purdue, but it was his strength and physicality off of the dribble that really stood out. Defenders bounce off of him as he attacks the basket.

and getting a chance to watch him vs Heritage Christian, you see why. A lot of what Blackhawk does runs through LaCross and is game that can be tasked with that playmaker role. He is strong in the lane and gets to the basket at ease while also being a solid jump shooter and passer. Strong, athletic, skilled guard.

The son of University of Saint Francis head coach Chad LaCross has such impressive size and physical tools for a freshman guard. He is 6’3″ and very strong for his age. That physicality allows him to play through contact while his elevation and his jump shot remains impressive as well. LaCross is averaging 7.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.0 steals per game for Blackhawk Christian who is a contender in Class 3A. His 46-110 shooting, 41.8%, is most intriguing.

Another freshman that is going to step into a role right away for a highly competitive team. LaCross is a bigger guard for his age with the strength to play through contact and the perimeter skill to really stretch the defense. He was absolutely lights out from beyond the arc at our Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. Blackhawk Christian has moved up to the Class 3A level this season, but will still be a Top 10 team and LaCross will certainly play a role in their success from day one.
