About Victor
Expert Analysis

Oozing with upside, Aborowa is a dynamic two-way wing who is a highflyer. Popping a couple times a game by making plays nobody else on the floor can make, Aborowa can play above the rim and swat shots that look out of reach. If the half court offense can become consistent, he could move up a couple more spots in these rankings. Another reason why I’m buying stock in Aborowa long term, his prep school coach raves about his work ethic. Those types of prospects usually end up figuring things out and the consistent improvement of Aborowa’s game has stood out.

Aborowa 2-way versatility was shown throughout the game. His length allows him to cover a ton of ground, contest shots, and guard multiple positions. He hit tough shots from behind the arc. Aborowa showcased his vertical athleticism by finishing above the rim. He had a game high 24 points. He exploited mismatches often and used his strength to score bully them and score over them. Two things I wanna see Victor work on is not settling on the offensive end sometimes he gets caught up trying to get a shot up just to put one up, also he can rely too much on his athletic gifts. He is a prospect who I think will blow up in the next 6-7 months and should have a ton of mid plus schools on his coattails.

Walked away really impressed with Aborowa for an Andrew Osborne Academy team that college coaches should have written down on their travel schedules this season. At 6-foot-6 with plus length, a nice frame, and athleticism, Aborowa is exactly what you want in a prototypical wing. He spent Saturday knocking down pull-up in the mid-range off the bounce with relative ease despite his defender getting good contests. The lift and release point he has on his jumper make it extremely difficult for defenders who are off the ground second in contests to truly alter it. Other than hitting shots and playing athletically around the rim offensively, Aborowa spent his time on the defensive side guarding multiple positions effectively and helping close out possessions with rebounds outside of his area.

Has some intrigue potential as a switchable athletic defender. Blessed with a strong frame, big hands, and a long wingspan, he can be a defensive menace. On offense he doesn’t need much of a step to finish strong around the rim. He has put some work offensively on his jump shot and there were glimpses of this at CBG where he hit a fair share of jump shots (particularly on the left side of the court).

Really like the strides Aborowa has made in the last year since the first time I evaluated him in October of 2024. He is starting to peak at the right time. He is turning himself into a viable 3-D prospect. Aborowa had no issue rebounding on the offensive end and was in good spots to keep possessions going. Really like how Victor can guard different positions without much issue. He is a prospect I think that will blow up next grassroots season. Think mid-majors should get heavily involved with him.

A prospect I expect to blow up this winter, Aborowa was set to see his recruitment take off this July but unfortunately got hurt in the first game of the July live period with Midwest Basketball Club 3SSB 16 U. He’s back 100% healthy and is a much improved 3-point shooter from a year ago and remains an elite athlete and perimeter defender. It’s only a matter of time until Aborowa holds a handful more Division I offers from the three he currently holds (Ut Chattanooga, Alcorn State, Youngstown State) right now.

A prospect who was on the verge of blowing up down in Rock Hill, Aborowa ended the summer with three Division I offers from Youngstown State, Ut Chattanooga and Alcorn State, but if Aborowa would’ve stayed healthy in Rock Hill I think he had a good chance of doubling that list. Aborowa has tremendous defensive upside with the amount of ground he can cover on that end of the court combined with his length. Aborowa also rebounds the basketball well and can start the break with grab and go opportunities off defensive rebounds. Aborowa can also play as a secondary rim protector and was essentially a small ball center for Midwest Basketball Club 16 U before his injury. Unique wing with a high ceiling on both ends of the floor.

Joining Midwest Basketball Club’s 16 U group this weekend, Aborowa looks like a prospect who could blow up with offers. At his size, athleticism and shooting ability, Aborowa checks a handful of boxes that college coaches look for on the wing. Aborowa had 7 first half points before an ankle injury held him out the second half. If Aborowa plays like he did in the first half after he recovers from his injury, he’ll have plenty of more calls from Division I programs. Major potential stock riser either this summer or in the winter with Andrews Osborne Academy.

One of the more athletic wings in Ohio, Aborowa got some positive reviews after Andrews Osborne Academy made trips down south in March to wrap up their season. A physical wing who can jump out the gym and score at the rim, I’ll be curious to see how Aborowa looks at the grassroots level this summer as he’s an interesting name to track.

I just saw Aborowa this week and continue to be impressed with his frame and athleticism. A wing who can play above the rim and through contact, Aborowa makes some eye-popping athletic plays. Also capable of forcing turnovers and quickly scoring in transition, Aborowa pops on both ends. Still has a long way to go offensively with shooting the basketball and handling it in tight spaces, I’ll be monitoring Aborowa’s development in these areas over the next few years.
