It may not have been his night shooting the ball, but it’s still very easy to see why he’s easily 1 of the best juniors in the state. Hall is dynamic with the ball and it seems like he can almost always get to his spots. His ball handling and change of direction are both elite beyond an in state level. We’re going to see a lot of big offensive games from him next year and we can start the Mr. Basketball talk soon.

Hall was really good at the open gym. He showed the ability to play fast, but stay physical at the same time. Hall was able to advance the ball with the dribble and the pass and was more than able to attack of the bounce. He did a great job maintaining balance in the air with the ball.

Let’s just face the facts – Hall is an elite guard in the state of Michigan. He was a player of the game at the Summer Tune Up, helping to lead Cass Tech to a win with 20 points on the night. Hall doesn’t waste a dribble and can and will weave his way through traffic with the ball in his hands. Hall always seems to have control of the ball which gives him a lot of options on his way to the rim. He can pull up, or change direction or speeds.

A dynamic lead guard, Hall was making plays for Cass Tech on Friday as his ability to attack once he gets downhill is really impressive. Able to use dribble handoffs and pick and rolls to get some momentum towards the rim, Hall loves getting to his favored left hand to get all the way to the rim. Able to change speeds on the ball and rise up for pull-up jumpers, Hall has a ton of scoring talent. Since watching him last year I’ve noticed significant improvements in his explosiveness and sudden change of direction. I had always been impressed with the skill and basketball IQ Hall plays with and he’s taken his game to the next level as a rising Junior.

He reads the defenses well and can fit tough passes through small gaps. He showed some flashes from behind the arc. He is a conservative finisher inside and knows he doesn’t need to be flashy.

The Cass Tech guard would be a show stopper at the Sophomore ID Camp. He’s deservedly picked up some nice offers. The versatile guard can play effectively both on and off the ball. He’s strong with the ball and quick to attack. Hall could show the state exactly where he stands with the competition.
