This is my second time really getting to watch Deante in detail, and he was able to display a whole new side of himself. Less “active” than previously, but he showed great patience. He spotted up and stayed ready for kick-outs, which he converted, proving he is not only a ball-dominant guard but also capable of playing off the ball. Burton recognized when his bigs were sealed and looked to get the ball down low. On the other end, he put his length to work and made passing lanes tight.

Deante weathers storms, multiple times ending runs from the opposing teams with timely threes and a poise with the ball. Burton slows down the pace when the game can start to feel out of control.
