About Paris
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
Above the rim, always hustling, every rebound is mine unless I physically cannot get to the ball, I never run out of energy
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
In terms of off the court I’m a relaxed but hard working individual. On the court, all I do is hustle all I think is how to make the next play even if something goes wrong, I’ll always be there to clean up a miss or just grab a rebound when needed.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I was involved with the Detroit Pistons academy winter league. I did receive a perfect attendance award from my school for not missing any days within a 10 week period. I also was a regional competitor for SkillsUSA for T-Shirt design.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I have developed a lot of teamwork working with my peers and teammates to solve issues with either development of an item or service or with plays on the fly. I have learned that when things get chaotic all it takes is a good leader to organize it all.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
One significant challenge I faced was a knee injury back in the beginning of sophomore year, it took away all my confidence in my play style since it included a lot of jumping and turning in short periods of time. This even affected me in my junior year for basketball tryouts at Cass Tech. However, now I’ve learned the limits of what I can do and I’ve learned more body control since then.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m looking for a college with a great atmosphere and a great culinary arts program. I love cooking and I love basketball, if I can work with both at the same time I’d be over the moon.
