Expert Analysis
Logan Greenwell | Prep Hoops Scout
The National Four-Star point guard is making his Nike EYBL debut with the Oakland Soldiers this weekend. Explosive downhill driver that gets to the basket essentially at will. Consistency in the jump shot is still a major question mark, but he’s unselfish and looks to make the right play. Major national recruit with offers from every high major conference in the country.

is just a special player that can dictate any game that he plays in and that was in full display on Friday in Fishers win over Noblesville. He had a slower first half in the game before taking over the game right as soon as the 2nd Half whistle blew. He scored in the lane at ease per usual as well as getting to the free throw line a bunch of times. Still no jumper being displayed yet, but still the best guard in the lane in the state.

No matter how many times you see him play, the explosiveness and end-to-end quickness of Gardner Jr. catches your attention. The #2 ranked prospect in the Class of 2027 by Prep Hoops Indiana finished with 20 points and 7 rebounds to lead Fishers to an impressive 57-48 win over Mt. Vernon (Fortville).

The uber-athletic junior guard is simply the best driver of the basketball in the entire state. His combination of elite speed and athleticism makes him a matchup nightmare for opposing teams. He does a really good job of not catching stationary which gives him an advantage over practically any defender when he can use his speed to get downhill. The explosiveness he has around the basket is unmatched and he took advantage of an open lane versus Ben Davis and Arsenal Tech finishing at the rim in a variety of different ways. The jump shot is still a bit of a concern, but he knocked down a perimeter jumper against Ben Davis.
Season Average: 21.5 points | 6.5 rebounds | 4 assists
