Ohio's 2027 rankings were just updated! Our list has expanded past 200 names and there's been a lot of shuffling between transfers coming in and out of the state and busy summer live periods earning players new offers left and right. While prep players take up eight of the top 20 prospects, a large majority of the 200+ ranked names are from OHSAA schools.
Our top 3 prospects are now all guards from Spire with [player_tooltip player_id='2238210' first='King' last='Gibson'], [player_tooltip player_id='2194337' first='Darrell' last='Davis'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2344521' first='Micah' last='Gordon'] taking those spots. Fourth is defending OHSAA Division I champion and Cincinnati commit [player_tooltip player_id='2194651' first='Kameron' last='Mercer'], who gets added to the list after reclassifying from 2028 to 2027 to arrive in Clifton a year earlier than expected. Fifth is fast rising prospect [player_tooltip player_id='2614836' first='Victor' last='Aborowa'] from Andrew's Osborne Academy. Aborowa had a major breakout with Indiana Elite in July and added some new offers in the process. Sixth is [player_tooltip player_id='2287864' first='Charles' last='Pur'], the returning big man at Spire with a handful of offers from around the country. Seventh is the second OHSAA prospect on the list, another Cincinnati area standout, [player_tooltip player_id='2140535' first='Isaiah' last='Mack-Russell'] of Winton Woods. With so many prep prospects coming into the state and so many local prospects leaving the state, these rankings look very different than the ones that were on our site a couple years ago.
