Rylan, an unsigned senior running with Hoop Habits TLC, shined with his scoring and ball handling abilities this past weekend. He looked at his best when going 1-on-1 with his defender, being able to create separation for a shot from the perimeter, or to blow by his man to work inside and make a play. McPipe is a knockdown shooter and had some impressive finishes after working himself into the paint or when running in transition.

He will be running with REAL PHENOM 17U Nick. Rylan is an athletic combo-guard who makes eye-catching plays. Expect him to put up points in a variety of ways. McPipe scores well off the dribble and is a knockdown shooter.

Rylan really helped spark the comeback for Real Phenom against Team FSA with his energy and effort. Even as one of the smallest guys on the floor, he was coming up with clutch offensive rebounds down the stretch to give his team extra chances to score. It was those consistent extra-effort plays that ended up making the difference for his team. Rylan has a quick first step and is dangerous as an isolation scorer, as he can hit shots from all over the floor. His effort on both ends was key in the comeback win.

Rylan was hitting some tough shots for Power Circle Basketball Academy on Saturday. He has a shifty handle and explosive athleticism which helped him get downhill and finish at the rim. Also put that athleticism to use defensively, where he pressured the ball hard, helping force a handful of turnovers in the second half. He helped his team comeback and make it a game late against Starks Elite as he was all over the place making plays defensively. Rylan showed he can step out and hit the three both off the catch and dribble. Was a 14.3 ppg scorer last winter at Cooper, and could be in for some high scoring games as a junior.

Rylan is fun to watch with the ball in his hands, as he is a versatile offensive weapon. He started the game off with a strong take to the basket, but did the majority of his scoring from the perimeter after that. He is super quick and can change direction in a flash. He is a true three level scorer, as I saw him pull up and hit a mid-range jumper, as well as a triple off the catch. McPipe is a dynamic combo guard who can heat up and take over a game.

has played in front of me three times since June, and each time he’s an impressive young guard. The five-foot-seven-inch guard from Robbinsdale Cooper led Team 5 in this contest in scoring and assists, 10 point, 6 assist game. McPipe reminds a bit of former Cooper 2019 guards Jalen Justice and Jalen Miller.

With the ball in your hands an excellent trait is looking up and seeing the floor for opportunities.

, a five-foot-seven-inch guard from Robinsdale Cooper and played AAU Grassroot Sizzle does a good job of looking up the floor. In the contest versus Team 2 he had three assists, and he was looking to get others involved often. McPipe managed 10 points of his own taking advantage of opportunities to score inside as well a confidence to shoot the ball from 3 when defenders gave him room.

Rylan has continued to really impress me this summer. When he has the ball in his hands he plays fast, but it always looks so smooth and under control which is pretty rare for someone his age. He has all of the tools to be an amazing offensive player, being able to score from anywhere coming off the dribble if necessary. He also converted some eye-opening acrobatic finishes at the basket. McPipe also has great awareness and a high basketball IQ. He was connecting with his teammates all over the floor coming away with numerous assists. I expect the stock for Rylan to keep rising going into his freshman season for a Robbinsdale Cooper team that lost some senior backcourt talent.
