About Kai

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play aggressive by attacking open lanes and absorbing contact to finish, kicking it out for an open three or dumping it down for a quick 2. I have good court vision & I shoot well from three. Usually in games I get my three ball going and then I get them jumping for my fakes which opens up the lanes. I feel that when the ball is in my hand, there ends up always being a positive outcome.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a fearless player. My favorite line right now is "I'm tough as shit and I believe in myself." I always believe in myself and I don't think I will ever stop. Even though there is so much doubters I can't lie, I 100% know I am making the NBA. I am not sure how but right now I am finding my path there.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have received a 4.1 weighted GPA in my first semester here at DME Academy.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have great leadership, always breaking my teams out the huddles and telling them where to go as the point guard. I also have a lot of teamwork in school working on projects, and on the court by sharing the ball. At DME I have 14 community service hours by scoring games.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One significant challenge I have faced is moving away to boarding school at age 14 to go play the game I love most. It was a hard decision to make; to leave at my friends and family and go to a place where I don't know anyone. But I knew I had to make this decision if I wanted to make it to the NBA. I had the opportunity and I took it.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a Division 1 college possibly JUCO that I can play the game I love, basketball. I want to be offered this opportunity and I work hard everyday to achieve this accomplishment.
