About Mason

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a lengthy guard/wing that can shoot the 3 at 40% but also get to the midrange and finishing. I would say my shooting is my best part of game but I can handle a bit as well. I can also get rebounds and push in transition. I can use my size to either post up a small guard and dunk it or take on a big and get around him and finish at the rim.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a great teammate who motivates either on bench or on court. I have a grind mentality that nothing is guaranteed in life, and how if you want something you have to work to get it since, I have had to work for everything I've gotten.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in multiple different basketball clubs.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

leadership because I have been a great player for about 2 years and I've been taught to lead the team and teach everyone to get better and show by example. I also live in a small town named red deer Alberta and getting exposure is hard because I have completed against players that are known and acknowledged and shown who I am even if I'm from a small town.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I've faced lots of adversity by people making fun of me saying how I'm just tall, but I worked to get a handle and a shot and its paid off and also getting in the weight room and getting stronger day by day. Also I've always been labeled as a big but to make it to high level I've worked on my handle and shot to become a matchup nightmare.

What type of college are you looking for?

one that develop players into elite guards.
