Expert Analysis
Duvalier Johnson | Prep Hoops Scout
Adekale is a player who doesn’t play high school in Colorado, but when he gets the opportunity to come out and show himself, he does just that. He’s a competitor. At the showcase, he was picking up guys high, fighting through picks and made guards pick up their pace. I liked his screen navigation and the way he was able to stay in front of his man and contest. He also ran the offense, broke guys down off the dribble and got to the rim for some finishes. Adekale also showed that he didn’t have to only play PG despite having high level reads and passes but moves without the ball and finds open spots not he perimeter to make his move. He had some tough finishes around the rim, grabbed rebounds with the bigs and finished and turned turnovers not scoring opportunities for his teammates. He’s not a name that everyone knew at the event, but he forced players to have to take his game seriously and that stands out to me.

His ability to change pace kept defenders off balance, allowing him to get downhill and attack the rim with confidence. He finished strong through contact and showed great body control in traffic. Whether in transition or the half court, he played with poise and purpose, making smart decisions while still being aggressive. His burst and feel stood out, and he proved to be a tough cover all weekend. This is a name that we have gotten eyes on before, and every time that we see him, he flashes signs of being a real deal player. He’s a guard who is a tough shot taker and maker, and he gets to his spots. He’s a great on-ball defender who hustles and breaks up plays, and his ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor is why he continues to stand out for me. He plays above his age, has a polished game, and continues to get better. Solid outing from him.

Once at the rim he showed great touch and body control, finishing through contact and converting tough looks. His handles allowed him to create separation and keep defenders off balance, giving him the freedom to dictate the pace of each possession. Adekale’s ability to combine speed, control, and finishing ability made him a dynamic offensive threat on the floor
