, but he’s returned to form and is back to dominating and being one of the valuable pieces for Chaparral. Luke is a gifted big man who has dominated the paint. He’s one of the most efficient players in the state and is a glass cleaner who understands where to operate from. Luke has chemistry with every player on the floor and looks very comfortable in the new year. He’s running the floor, dunking in traffic, and showcasing his footwork. He’s also getting back to being a force on the glass and giving his team extra scoring opportunities. He’s a player who’s starring in his role and allows Chaparral to look like one of the favorites.

is a guy who clues Chaparral’s all-around team together. Raking in rebounds on both ends of the ball, Williams provides the Wolverines with second-chance opportunities on a daily basis. Playing with a burst of energy, Williams jumps above the rim and electrifies crowds and boosts the team’s morale. At a skyscraping 6’10, Williams has mastered his craft and is ready to lead Chaparral to a potential state title.

Williams is the No.7 player in the class but he might be the top X factor as well as his presence determines just how far Chaparral goes. When he’s aggressively scoring, owning the boards, and dominating his matchup, there’s not another team in the state that can match Chaparral. He has excellent size, he rebounds in bunches, and he becomes a lob threat when the offense slows down. Luke is one of those quiet players that you see make some plays, but then look at the box score and don’t notice that he had 10 rebounds and 3 blocks as well. He’s a steady contributor for Chapparal, and I’m excited to see what steps he takes in his senior year. He’s the bridge over there for a state favorite.

Luke brought an athletic and physical presence inside in both games that helped Chaparral pick up their wins, and it will be a calling card for him all season. He scored 18 points in his first game and had a few dunks in the half-court set as he ran the baseline in the second game. His dunks, finishes, and rebounding stood out as he keeps plays alive for his team. With so much defensive attention on the guards, it was big to see him step up as a down-low force. He’s very athletic, active, and looks ready to have breakout games through rebounding and energy plays. He continues to shine.

Luke is a skilled 6’9 “big man who is a stat-sheet-stuffing prospect with high upside. He passes well out of the post, stretches the floor, and reads defenses with poise. He doesn’t force the game as he plays smart and within the flow. Defensively, he moves well, alters shots, and owns the glass. High upside, productive now, and only getting better.

Williams has the ability to change the game on both ends of the floor with his size and presence. On offense – he can make any shot in the paint and can effectively finish right at the rim. Williams positions himself well to get offensive boards and has a great mindset to get the ball out to an open shooter. Defensively you can see how his size can affect the game for opponents. Excellent hands allow him to contest opportunities at the bucket and he always comes down with the big rebound. Expect him to continue working on his footwork down low to be a more effective force

is a physical big who makes the most of his opportunities with the rock. Williams, at 6’9, coverts most of his post shots in the blocks. If Chaparral can get Williams activated with opportunities early, this game could sway in Chaparral’s favor quickly. Averaging 3.4 blocks per game, Williams should be a massive defensive impact for the Wolverines.

Williams has worked to become more active on the defensive end, whether that be through timely rebounds or effective contests at the rim. Still a valuable option off the roll, he is getting more comfortable drawing contact on finishes around the rim. Chaparral brings both size and dependable perimeter playmaking, as the starting power forward for the 2-0 group, he is proving to be an incremental name towards their success.

Williams brings modern skills within the frontcourt, adept spacing the floor out behind the arc. A routine shotmaker off the catch, at his size there are only a handful of names capable of blocking a shot with such a high release point. He displayed acuity passing to backdoor cutters, effectively finding teammates through tight windows.

Williams looks to be a riser in opportunity stepping into next season, given his perimeter shooting efficiency and budding confidence passing the ball. Already a valuable option as a pick and pop threat, the forward has provided glimpses throughout Section 7 of his offensive resume. Given the variety of high IQ and dynamic perimeter scorers at Chaparral, Williams has a lot to work with for passing opportunities, effectively threading the needle on backdoor cuts. His impact on the defensive end will be worth following, playing a significant role in his opportunity with a program vying for a deep playoff run.
