10p 2a 1r 3s vs NY Lightning
-The third point guard in Thrill’s lineup does an excellent job of making a positive impact at key moments in games for his team. Green picks his spots to attack closeouts from the wing and habitually throws unselfish hockey assists that lead to wide open looks as a guard that continually keeps the ball flowing. Green hit a baseline pull-up in the midst of Thrill’s comeback surge, knocked down two second half threes to stave off NYL runs, and stripped away two shot attempts for steals to close out key possessions late in the game. His instincts to know when to double the post or trap an opponent and when he needs to stay home gives Thrill a cerebral point guard prospect that also isn’t afraid to muscle up with forwards on switches to push them off of their spot in the low post.

Another horse in the stable for Mookie Dobbins’ 17U backcourt is Green. A new face to the program this season after a strong high school campaign that included a Maryland Private School State championship, Green provides further intensity, a defensive mindset and capable offensive skills when his number is called. There was zero hesitation from him getting his nose in on 50/50s, battling for tip-outs on the offensive glass that resulted in extra possessions and overall playing with an edge that fuels others around him. When he’s called upon to run the offense, you can count on Green making correct reads playing off two in the paint. With regularity, he established paint touches snaking ball screens or simply using his first step to blow by his man to knife into the heart of the defense and play off the help’s decision where he can rise up for mid-range jumpers or deliver pinpoint bounce passes to his big on the baseline.

Another viewing and another write-up for Green, who makes it impossible not to notice his impact no matter what jersey he’s wearing. The strength of this Thrill 17s group will be their backcourt and Green is the type of guy who will demand bulk minutes because of the way he impacts the game doing the little things. He can play on or off the ball offensively, but it’ll be on the defensive end where he can dominate the game with relentless pressure, intensity and physicality in the backcourt. He forced turnovers with regularity on Sunday and is always in the right spot off the ball where he’s prepared to step in and take charges. In transition, he used his burst and twitch to get to the rim and finish strong. Also looked confident and poised with where his shots came in the half court with timely lifts as the ball entered the paint.

A worthy bump into the top-20, Green spent his first year in Maryland proving himself as one of the more competitive point guards in the state regardless of class. The Alabama native is tough-minded, prideful in his individual matchups and showed great balance in orchestrating games in a manner that benefited his team on that given night. It resulted in winning the Maryland Private School State title while overcoming a tough path as he led Springdale to wins over Mt. Zion Prep, DeMatha and Clinton Grace to claim the crown.

Continuing to prove himself as one of the better guards in the state, Green added a key chapter to his DMV resumé with a hard-nosed, clutch performance in a narrow win over Bishop McNamara. The Alabama transplant was tough and aggressive from start to finish, playing a no-nonsense style on both ends of the floor that acquits itself perfectly to this region. He showed off his polished long-range shooting ability, connecting on 4 of 9 attempts from beyond the arc, none bigger than his pullup with 33 seconds remaining to push Springdale ahead for good. His on-ball defense was also a key factor in the game, as his quick feet and strong chest posed a consistent challenge for McNamara’s guards. Green will hit the UAA circuit this spring and should garner further D1 attention after previously committing to Alabama A&M in the 2026 class.

Green put a bow on his first season in Maryland after making the move from Alabama by capturing a state title behind an MVP performance as the lead guard scored 20 points on an efficient 6-of-11 from the field. In an extremely physical game, Green was the key to the Springdale equation and as I’ve mentioned all season long, has been the game-changer for this program. Over the years, Springdale has flaunted talent in their frontcourt and on the wing, but the point guard position always seemed to be the shortcoming in making postseason runs. Green’s ability to impact the game as a scorer or playmaker, lead/control from a vocal standpoint and the overall toughness he brings is infectious throughout his team. That sense of toughness and confidence allowed the Lions to battle through adversity in several occasions this season and would be the needed ingredient for claiming the state title.

9p 2r 2a 3b 1 charge drawn vs PGCA
-Earned a few offers last week and showed why, offsetting a slow night at the offensive end of the floor by ramping up the defensive effort to make winning plays for his team. A lot of players will sulk or complain to the referees on a missed shot around the basket, but Green on three separate occasions missed a shot at the rim but raced back defensively to block shots at the rim to preserve his team’s lead. His wrap around pass to his big in transition for the easy layup and a massive drawn charge in the second OT frame to put the game away empowered the Lions to stave off late runs from PGCA to score a nice road victory in the MPSC.

Another standout performance from Green who has become the engine for this Springdale team. They started the game on a quick 16-0 run and it was sparked by back-to-back three’s from the Alabama native along with intense, energetic defense. Green brings a sense of comfort at the point guard position to control the pace and getting buckets when his number is called. He brings great balance with his approach as a scorer and distributor. The leadership qualities continue to shine brightly with his communication and quarterbacking his teammates through sets or coverages. Green scored a game-high 21 points in a big, early season win for Springdale.

Another strong showing from Green on Friday night in a 38-point win over Phoenix Montessori (NC). He set the tone from the opening tip that he would be the one controlling the game on both ends from the guard position. Green was vocal in organizing the half court offensive sets, communicating off the ball defensively to ensure everyone was in the correct coverage, and brought some passion after making plays for himself around the rim through contact. Simply put, Green looked like the type of leader a coach would want his lead guard to have while making plays on both end of the floor both for himself and others. He finished with 14 points, eight steals, seven assists, and six rebounds.

Green came out looking like he had a point to prove as the lead guard brought a true floor general feel that sparked a commanding 12-0 lead. Green maintained great energy throughout the game as a vocal leader, a disruptive defensive presence in the passing lanes, and a patient processor seeing the floor while setting up others. He scored it from all three levels to keep his defender honest, but was most effective getting a head of steam in transition and finishing around the rim. Green would finish the game with a loaded stat line of 14 points, eight steals, seven assists, and six rebounds. The strong junior campaign for the Alabama native continues
