I was impressed by Harper’s freakish athleticism and quickness during the last NEBL session, but this weekend he showed some other areas to his game I didn’t know he had, most notably his outside shooting; he has a nice-looking outside shot that he can hit consistently off of both the dribble and the catch. Additionally, he has an ambidextrous skill set that allows him to finish around the rim with touch and precision using both hands, something that’s very important for a guard who likes to get into the paint. Big time player who continues to impress me more every time I see him.

Harper is LIGHTNING quick with the ball in his hands and threw down a lefty dunk that seemingly shook the entire gym. The Rhode Island commit can handle the ball well and run the show for his squad, but he’s most impressive on the defensive end. He fights through screens like they aren’t even there – some of the best screen navigation I’ve seen – and he seems like he knows where the offensive player is going at all times, constantly beating them to the spot and using his active hands to make things tough. He’s the type of guy you love to play with but hate to play against.

Harper was constantly getting to different spots off the dribble and wasn’t fazed by the moment and found ways to stay relevant in the game. He made plays for others frequently. Harper also is active on the boards. He had a 21 point outing against Massanutten (VA).

-Had a very impactful game in a win over MMPG without dominating the ball or taking wild shots. Harper showed a nice touch around the basket as an explosive guard that uses a dribble or two to get past his defender and finish with extension lays high off the glass. He made the only three he took on the game, came up with some big offensive rebounds in traffic, and kept opposing guards in check (0 scored in double figures) by staying in front and getting good contests on their shots

Harper stands out as a versatile and quick athletic guard whose prowess extends beyond his speed and agility. Known for his ability to navigate through defenders with finesse, he excels in finishing plays through physicality inside the paint. His impressive vertical leap enables him to soar above opponents, making him a formidable presence around the rim and a consistent threat in scoring opportunities.
