Carter is going to be terrorizing the rims at Stillwater for the next three years. At 6’3 he’s an explosive athlete with the burst to get up and finish above the rim with some powerful dunks. Against Illinois Wolves UAA that’s what happened on one occasion as Carter came slashing down the lane and threw down a hard dunk with a contesting defender nearby. When he wasn’t making a highlight play, Carter was keeping things simple and working for high percentage looks around the rim. Was getting to his spots off of one/two dribbles, pinning his man behind his shoulder, and playing off two feet to power up under control. Also knocked down a mid-range jumper at the first half buzzer.

I love the long-term potential in this 6’3” combo. Did a terrific job spacing the floor against Team Rose while also playing aggressive in the paint. Even set some screens to help free guys up. Leading to numerous open buckets. Forced tough shots defensively in the second half too en rout to a blowout win.

Carter absolutely dominated on the offensive boards in a Friday night win. He was stronger than any opponent on the floor and always seemed to be positioned in the right spot. He was battling through contact for contested finishes through traffic, including a couple of three-point plays. He is also very mobile, being able to run in transition and defend a variety of positions. Zollar and Minnesota Fury start the weekend off 1-0.
