Geno can hurt defenses in a number of ways. Playing alongside one of the best frontcourt duos in the state, Ward does a great job of getting his bigs the ball. Whether he’s entering the ball to them from the perimeter, or driving and dumping it off as their defender slides over to stop him, Geno puts his teammates in positions to score. He’s not just a facilitator either, as he’s fearless attacking the basket at 5’10. Geno is often quick enough to get to the basket for a quick scoop finish before defenders have a chance to react. He’s a big reason his team went 4-0 on the weekend.

Geno was getting to any spot that he wanted to off the dribble against Drive Pro Select. His quickness and change of pace on the ball had him running circles around defenders at times as he was manuevering his way to the rim in both half-court and transition settings. Despite being one of the smallest players on the floor in a game that included multiple 6’10 bigs, Geno was finding success finishing inside. When the help defense was able to step in on time, Geno had the awareness to quickly locate an open man with a dump-off or kick-out pass. Quick and energetic guard who plays with a high motor on both ends of the floor.
