When it comes to players that are elite defenders, Amir is one of those guys. Today in articles we have mentioned the level of defenders that Taylor and Shay are, Amir is another player in that conversation. He was maybe the best wing defender I saw all of 17u season and a guy that never let a moment get by him. Big year is expected from Amir as he can affect games in a big way without scoring.

If there was a 17u All Defensive Team out there, Amir would be on it. If there was a All Defensive team for the upcoming winter, Amir would be on it. Add in the slashing game improvements on offense and I love him as a D3 talent.

Amir will head into his senior season considered to be one of the best defensive basketball players in the state of Minnesota. If there is an All Defensive team in Minnesota high school hoops, Amir is a shoe-in for it. One of the best workers we saw all 17u year, Amir was a key piece for Fury Goring winning forty games because of his relentless effort.

Amir Bobmanuel Amir Bobmanuel 6'1" | SF/SG Minneapolis Washburn | 2027 MN – Bobmanuel is a six-foot-one-inch 2027 guard from Minneapolis Washburn that is a good athlete and very good on ball defender. Bobmanuel defensive exploits standout making pick off steals on passes on the wing and blocks as a help defender. Offensively getting out in transition making plays at the rim are his best opportunities for scores.

Amir Bobmanuel Amir Bobmanuel 6'1" | SF/SG Minneapolis Washburn | 2027 MN – Bobmanuel is a 2027 guard from Minneapolis Washburn and Minnesota Fury Goring. Bobmanuel is a pesky perimeter guard defender that uses quickness and length to lock up opponents, collect loose balls and knock them away. Bobmanuel is athletic enough to race the floor and finish above the rim.

WHY?

He helped Fury collect multiple wins and he ran the floor really well. Amir showed that he is a tough and physical defender. He rebounded very well and was excellent in transition.

I really like the way Amir goes out and competes with energy and intensity on both ends of the floor. Defensively he was constantly putting pressure on opposing guards, and isn’t afraid to pick up full-court on an island. Came up with a number of steals throughout the weekend as he has the lateral quickness to get right up under opposing guards. At times got caught trying to play a bit too flashy, but did a nice job of getting into the lane and dumping it off to his forwards for good looks around the rim. Vocal player who you can just tell is having fun out on the floor.
