The annual Rick Majerus Wisconsin Basketball Yearbook Shootout returns to Concordia University in Mequon for three days of exciting high school basketball action on December 28-29-30.
Now in its 21st year, the Rick Majerus WBY Shootout annually attracts some of the top teams and players from throughout the state and that is definitely the case once again in 2026.
Three-time defending state champion Wisconsin Lutheran makes a return to the event after a one-year absence and will take on perennial power De Pere at 7:45 p.m. on December 30. Wisconsin Lutheran enters the 2026-27 campaign with a 40-game winning streak dating back to the 2024-25 campaign. In addition, Wisconsin Lutheran is expected to welcome a talented transfer from California in Tyler Treder, a 6-foot-7 class of 2028 prospect who currently attends California Lutheran. Treder's parents are both Lutheran school administrators/teachers and plan to relocate to the Milwaukee area over the summer. Trader is ranked No. 33 among sophomores in southern California by Prep Hoops.
Wisconsin Lutheran went 30-0 at the varsity level, 22-0 at the JV1 level and 21-0 at the JV2 level last winter.
De Pere, which went 25-4 and qualified for the WIAA State Tournament last month, welcomes back one of the state's better class of 2027 prospects in wing
