Will Armishaw | Prep Hoops Scout
Eason, a versatile wing out of St. Paul’s School in New Hampshire, has continued to solidify himself as one of the top 2028 prospects in New England. He’s a two-way, 6’5″ wing that has the ability to play in the paint and on the perimeter on both ends of the floor. Defensively, he moves well laterally, has the strength needed to guard in the paint, and is a willing rebounder in traffic. Offensively, he can handle the ball in screening action, is hard to guard when attacking the rim, and is a consistent and reliable perimeter shooter.

Eason, a versatile wing out of St. Paul’s School, has continued to impress with his well-rounded offensive game while playing with the Middlesex Magic this spring. He’s getting to the hoop whenever he wants off the bounce, is finishing plays above the rim in traffic, and continues to knock down shots at a high clip. His versatility, being able to play with or without the basketball in his hands, continues to stand out. Defensively, he can guard up and down a lineup and, as he’s added strength, has improved his effort on the defensive glass.

Eason is a very powerful force for a 9th grader. The 6-foot-5 wing/forward was able to play up in the 10th grade division and still dominate with his size, length and strength. He was a menace on the offensive glass and protected the rim well on the defensive end. He has a nice ambidextrous game which allows him to finish with both hands, though he’s still a bit raw on that end. Some added offensive skill in the shooting and handling departments would be huge for Eason, who has a very bright future ahead as a big, athletic, do-it-all wing. He should have a big season at St. Paul’s next year.

Eason, who heads into his first year at St. Paul’s after playing a season at Cheverus, is one of the top two-way perimeter players in this class. All of 6’5″, with great length, Eason shows impressive athleticism for a young prospect and appears to have a frame that will support added muscle in the future. He’s a capable scorer on the offensive end, getting it done at multiple levels while also showing a nose for the ball on the offensive glass. He’s skilled with the ball in his hands and shows signs of being a budding big playmaker. Defensively, he has the potential to guard almost every spot on the floor and does a good job both on and off the ball with his activity level. He’ll take a jump in competition level this winter, but should only benefit from that not only this year, but also down the road.
