Expert Analysis
Robbie Hodin | Prep Hoops Scout
Everitt really impressed me this weekend and seems to be getting better every time I watch him. The 6-foot-5 lefty looks like he’d be uncoordinated and slow, but he has better athleticism than you’d think and a budding skillset. He can make shots from three, he can serve as an offensive hub with his passing ability and awareness, and he can even handle the ball against bigger, slower-footed forwards who try to stay with him on the perimeter. Magic’s HGSL team is an excellent place for Everitt to develop, and I could see him being a major contributor and majorly increasing his usage rate for an Avon Old Farms team that will be reloading and looking to compete right away next year.

+39 (#58 to #19)
Everitt, a scoring wing out of the Avon Old Farms School, has a nice combination of positional size, shooting ability, and feel for the game. Offensively, he does a good job of spacing the floor, leverages his shooting as a driver, and is a willing ball mover. He’s consistently shot ready on the catch, shows a high IQ as a cutter, and uses his length to his advantage as a rim finisher. On the other end of the floor, he knows where he needs to be in rotation, does a nice job of rebounding in space, and is capable of making plays in passing lanes that lead to steals.

Everitt, a versatile two-way wing out of the Avon Old Farms School in Connecticut, makes his first appearance in the rankings at #59. A big 6’5″ wing, Everitt is a skilled lefty that has the ability to score at multiple levels, while also making some plays off the bounce as a creator. He runs the floor well in transition, sees over the defense as a passer, and can consistently hit shots in catch and shoot situations. Defensively, he has the versatility to guard four positions and is capable of making plays on the glass and in passing lanes. He’s got a nice combination of size and skill, which should only allow him to continue to blossom as a prospect going forward.
