Medina, a guard out of Concord Academy in Massachusetts, checks in at #6 among the point guards and #23 overall in this rankings update. The 5’11” guard was one of the breakouts of the winter season, showing elite twitch as a handler and the ability to create his own shot at will. He keeps defenders off balance with his dribble, does a nice job of elevating into his jumper to get it off over defenders, and can slide off the ball and operate as a big-time shot maker from behind the arc. He stands out on the defensive end of the floor with his ability to guard at the point of attack and create a high number of turnovers. Medina plays on the travel circuit with the Middlesex Magic.

Medina is a mesmerizing athlete who’s impossible to stop watching once you seen him explode both vertically and horizontally. The 5-foot-10 guard gets above the rim for dunks and breezes by his initial defender with quickness whenever he wants, but he also plays at his own speed and makes great, under control decisions — a rare combo for a kid his age. He lives in the midrange and has a beautiful shot, but he can also finish with contact at the hoop. He should be a starter and top 2 leading scorer for Concord Academy this season, and scholarship schools should be intrigued.

Medina is an absolute freak athlete who’s only 5-foot-10 but gets above the rim for dunks. Yes, you read that correctly. He uses major quickness and a deep bag of skills to burst by defenders and then supreme athleticism to elevate in the lane and finish with contact. He also has a really nice looking shot and is always on balance when it comes to getting to his spots on the floor. I would guess Medina will be a starter for Concord Academy this season and will probably be one of their main creators offensively as both a scorer and facilitator. Bright future ahead for him.
