Rankings Update: The 2028 Power Forwards

Next up in our coverage of the Class of 2028 is the power forward position - with 18 prospects at the position appearing in our latest rankings update.   [player_tooltip player_id='2571883' first='Oli' last='Higgins'] out of Brewer High School is the top ranked power forward in this update and is followed closely by the St. Paul's School's [player_tooltip player_id='2510362' first='Quintin' last='Eason'], Northfield Mount Hermon's [player_tooltip player_id='2571927' first='Maxxwell' last='Thorpe'], and Portsmouth High School's [player_tooltip player_id='2832763' first='Finn' last='McCauley'].   Here are power forwards to watch from our latest rankings update:    Higgins, a forward out of Brewer High School in Maine, is ranked #1 among the power forwards and checks in at #13 overall in this update. At 6'9" with long arms, Higgins has terrific positional size, is a fluid athlete, and should only continue to add strength to his frame going forward. He's at his best attacking the rim, either in transition or as a slasher, but also shows some ability to create with the ball in his hands. Defensively, he impresses with his versatility, understanding of how to use his length, and shot blocking instincts. Higgins will head to the Newman School in the fall and join the Class of 2029.     Abdulrahman, a forward out of Mount Saint Charles Academy in Rhode Island, is ranked #5 among the power forwards and checks in at #30 overall in this update. The 6'7" forward is a high level athlete that impacts games on both ends of the floor with his two-way motor. He's capable of high pointing rebounds in traffic, has the mobility needed to guard smaller opponents in space, and does a nice job of protecting the rim when coming from the help side. He finishes with authority in the paint, does a nice job of cutting off the ball, and is showing signs of the ability to consistently knock down catch and shoot jumpers. He'll run on the travel circuit this spring and summer with Team New England Basketball Club.     Seitz, a forward out of the St. Luke's School in Connecticut, is ranked #8 among the power forwards and checks in at #72 overall in this update. The 6'8" forward has good positional size and length, plays hard on both side of the floor, and has a budding inside-out skill set. He's capable of scoring it at multiple levels, uses his length to his advantage as a paint finisher, and has the ability to stretch the defense as a shot maker. Defensively, he rebounds it at a high level, both in traffic and in space, and shows the ability to guard up and down a position. He recently announced that he'd reclassify to the Class of 2029 and will play his travel ball with the NY Rens.     Kilroy, a forward out of the Dexter Southfield School in Massachusetts, is ranked #14 among the power forwards and checks in at #98 overall in this update. The 6'6" lefty plays with toughn ess on both sides of the floor, has the ability to dominate on the glass, and does a nice job of making winning plays that don't show up in the box score. Defensively, he's vocal, capable of guarding in switches, doesn't back down physically in the paint, and goes hard after every rebound. Offensively, he can roll or pop out of screens, finishes with either hand around the rim, and does a nice job of chasing down loose rebounds. He'll play a bigger role next winter for Dexter and is a prospect to watch as a stock riser going forward.     Bishop, a forward out of the Brunswick School in Connecticut, is ranked #17 among the power forwards and checks in at #118 overall in this update. The 6'6" forward can operate as a grab-and-go rebounder, does a nice job of fighting for position in the post, and is a crafty finisher with his back to the basket. He sets solid screens, finds soft spots in the defense as a roller, and has the ability to break down bigger defenders off the bounce. Defensively, he's willing to mix it up on the glass and has the ability to guard up or down a position. He plays his travel ball with 6th Boro Hoops.
