There’s something so smooth and cerebal about Arache’s game. The Mass Rivals’ freshman never looks like he’s forcing anything and can score from all three levels offensively while also getting his teammates involved. He has great length, size, and athleticism, and he’s extremely skilled for his size and age. In my opinion, he was the best player on the court when his Rivals squad faced off against Middlesex Magic’s HGSL team, and he should only continue to improve based on his AAU and high school situations.

Arache is one of the more highly regarded incoming freshman in the region and has the game to back up that reputation. He’s a big guard that has a terrific feel for the game and the ability to leave his mark on it in a variety of ways. At 6’3″, he has the size to finish plays in the paint and also can make plays with his vision and touch as a passer. He mixes up his speeds, knows how to play out of ball screens, and does a good job of balancing scoring with playmaking. He’s got a high ceiling and continues to get better with each passing month. Defensively, he has the ability to guard any of the three perimeter spots.

Arache impressed playing up a grade and seemed right at home. The physicality and the speed of the game did not bother him. He is very fundamentally sound and can make plays on or off the basketball. Arache is comfortable getting to different spots off the bounce. He does an effective job moving without the basketball in his hands. He always found ways to be in the proper spots to get rebounds. I like to motor that Arache plays with. Sky is the limit for Arache who should see some time this upcoming season in the NEPSAC, looking forward to tracking his progress.

Arache was probably the best athlete on the floor in the first semifinal game. The 6-foot-2 combo guard is incredibly smooth offensively and uses his handle and quickness to breeze by defenders and then finish at the rim. He can elevate above the hoop but also has the body control and balance to convert with contact, and the rising freshman is able to shoot it from outside too. He’ll be going to St. Paul’s this coming season and though it may be hard for him to get lots of minutes initially, he has a very bright future ahead.
