The Favorite:

This is one time I can honestly say that I'm not sure there is a favorite right now. [player_tooltip player_id='1745583' first='Braxton' last='Keathley'] has scored over 3,000 points already but it's hard for a mountain kid to win. [player_tooltip player_id='2127277' first='Matthew' last='Langhi'] may be the best prospect of them all and just had a big showing at Rupp Arena. [player_tooltip player_id='2122438' first='Montez' last='Gay'] just won state and is going to be in position to do it again. [player_tooltip player_id='1745592' first='Jack' last='Logsdon'] is going to have great numbers and has won a ton at Grayson County. [player_tooltip player_id='1751495' first='Ja'Rye' last='Brown'] is one of the best scorers I've seen but it's hard for a Louisville kid to get votes for the award. It should be fascinating to see how it all unfolds over the next year.

The Question Mark:

LJ Holman (currently at Hargrave), Ferlandas Wright (at La Lumiere) and Griffin Starks (recently returned to Newport) - Starks was garnering a lot of national attention before transferring to a prep school. Sounds like he's now back at Newport and likely to suit up for the Wildcats next year. LJ Holman is at Hargrave but would likely be near the top of this list if he returned for his Senior season. Finally, Ferlandas Wright has been rumored to be coming back home to Louisville. He's already committed to play for his hometown Cardinals and his return would shake up a lot of things, including the race for Mr. Basketball
