Jack just helped get Grayson County to one of their best seasons in school history and will be a front runner for Mr. Basketball next year. The lone committed 2027 in Kentucky, Logsdon is headed to Western Kentucky for college but still has a lot of work to do before he becomes a Topper. A big wing with the ability to knock down shots all over the court, Logsdon excels as a slasher but can also catch and shoot at a high level.

The best player on both ends of the court this evening, Logsdon had a couple of blocked shots in the paint and his ball pressure forced a couple of turnovers. On the offensive end of the court, Logsdon had a couple of assists by using his gravity to attract the defense before finding an open shooter. With the positional size to shoot over smaller defenders, Logsdon had a pair of 3-pointers with defenders right in his face. Grayson County is tough to beat because of their shooting ability and ball movement and if Logsdon gets open shots it is usually a long night for the opposing defense.

Jack has been one of the best players in this class for several years now and is possibly the most consistent of the bunch. A big wing scorer, Logsdon’s threes have not been falling like usual so far this season but he is among the top free throw shooters in the state. Logsdon is asked to do a lot for Grayson County but he’s up to the task and if he continues playing at the level he has been, Grayson will be right in the mix for a 3rd region championship in March.

Missing one of their top scorers, Logsdon has an even greater responsibility for Grayson County this weekend at the King of the Bluegrass tournament. I was impressed by the perimeter shot-making by Logsdon off the dribble, knocking down a tough mid-range pull-up before the first quarter buzzer. Physically dominant in the paint, Logsdon isn’t rushed when he catches the ball underneath the rim and scored or was fouled when he got within 3 feet of the rim. Last time I saw Grayson County Logsdon was coming off an injury and it’s safe to say he’s fully recovered and displayed an even quicker first step on Thursday than he showed in the summer. A top player from western Kentucky, no surprise the Hilltoppers were thrilled with an early commitment from Logsdon this summer.

The only Junior to already be committed for college, Logsdon made his pledge to Western Kentucky the day after they offered him. A big wing who can score the ball at a high clip, Jack is a good shot blocker for his size and is considered to be a contender for 2027 Mr Basketball.

The first player to commit in this class, Logsdon is already off the board to WKU for college. A versatile wing with good size, Jack can score the ball and is an underrated shot blocker for his size. If he can continue to improve his lateral quickness, Jack is going to be ready to play as a freshman at WKU since he should be able to switch across multiple positions.

Logsdon displayed his 3-level scoring ability and all-around impact on the game in a win over Mass Rivals on Day 3 of the Invitational. The 6-foot-7 wing has nice moves and footwork to score in the post, with nice touch and accuracy on the hook floater and the spin-fade mid-range jumper, and is able to score at the basket through contact. Logsdon has the moves to create space off the dribble, moves well off the ball to get open for the catch, and is efficient with the 3-ball in either situation. Logsdon is active on the boards, has good timing and bounce to alter/block shots in the post, has quick hands to deflect entry passes into the paint to get the ball out, and runs the floor well in the open court. The Western Kentucky commit leaves his imprint on multiple facets of the game on both ends and was key in leading Midwest Basketball Club to the Classic Division 16u Championship.

An early commit in the 2027 class, Logsdon announced a Western Kentucky commitment at the end of June. I watched Logsdon twice this week, including once with his future college head coach. Logsdon is one of the most talented scorers in Kentucky as he can fill it up with size on the wing. What I didn’t realize about Logsdon until recently was how impactful of a defender he was. A tough kid who uses active hands to strip the ball and contest without fouling, Logsdon scraps and claws on that end of the court. Even when his shot isn’t falling, Logsdon has found a way to help his team win at the circuit level.

There are so many players in this class who could easily be ranked first overall and Jack is another one who fits that bill. Logsdon is a player who gets stuff done. He checks a lot of boxes as far as his ability to impact games on both ends. He’s a big wing scorer and continues to improve as a defender. Jack is likely the most slept on and least heralded player in this top ten.

who hit four 3-pointers in the win over All Ohio Red. I decided to spotlight Logsdon who showed more of an interior scoring ability than I saw on the EYBL circuit last year. Confident finishing with his left hand and challenging rim protectors, Logsdon has improved his athleticism and his off-hand in the past year. I also thought Logsdon didn’t force the issue and is fitting in well with a new group that was missing some pieces but still found a way to finish 2-1 against a really tough schedule that featured two EYBL opponents and an EYCL squad.
